What I Wear-Plaid Wool And Girlz 4 Christ Mag

So I actually wore this outfit yesterday...when it was 60+ deg....yes I regretted it....
The brown shirt, red vest and wool plaid skirt were all thrifted. The boots are from gojane.com, tights from Amazon.com

So for those of you who don't know me very well, I'm weird. I like making beauty products out of natural stuff you find at home (stuff you'd normally eat...). So I found THIS POST on making your own body spray! I hate putting chemicals of any kind on, or in my body, so this was cool to find! I can't wait to make some! I'm going to try the Orange/Cinnamon scent-I'll let you know how it turns out! Has anyone ever made their own body spray before?

So I write for an online magazine called Girlz 4 Christ (Don't worry! This isn't a sales pitch, the magazine is free!). I've been running into a bit of writer's block lately. This is where you ladies come in! What articles do you think are beneficial to read? A specific topic that is heavy on your heart? An article you personally would enjoy reading? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! If I don't use them for the magazine, I might use them for "articles" on my blog. Go ahead, let me zap all your creative energy by leaving a comment! *GRIN*  No, but seriously! I'd really appreciate any help you can give.

Five Things About Me:
  1. I've never fallen asleep during a movie.
  2. Barefoot is my preferred mode of transportation.
  3. When I was little I used to think the Bible verse about not being "unequally yoked" was talking about eggs....
  4. I can memorize a song after only hearing it two or three times.
  5. I can't wait for the new Hobbit movie to come out!

  1. Cute! I really love the vest and the plaid skirt together! Hehe, it's been oddly warm here lately too! I actually pulled on a t-shirt yesterday, which doesn't happen often at the end of October! I think it was like 73 degrees in the house, and the heat hadn't come on for a few days. Really weird. :P I sort of wish the weather would just decide whether to stay warm or cold!

Hmm...how about a series of articles on how to style something that might seem immodest at face value modestly? Maybe by refashioning or layering. What do you think?

  5. I love this outfit: it might be my favorite of the outfits I've seen on your blog, probably because I just love plaid. A topic that's been on my mind alot lately is using time wisely.

  7. I always love plaid in the autumn! I also can't wait for the Hobbit movie to come out and I can't remember songs for the life of me, so jealous of that talent!

  9. Hello, my fellow barefoot friend! Your magazine does sound like a very interesting one! Have you ever read a blogger called "http://someonelikeyou18.blogspot.com/"? She is a young Christian woman who writes eloquently about dealing w/ a relationship breakup and other young women's issues. She might be an excellent person for you to connect with about writing and potential ideas!!!

Here are a few comment guidelines:
This is an open discussion, being so, I'm open to other people's opinions! However, please keep the discussion nice and if you'd like to critique something, please do it tactfully! I.E-instead of "I hate that outfit!" putting, "I think the outfit is a bit miss matched, however I like ___."
Your comments are so appreciated-you rock!
