Nancy Drew Fashion Week Day-5

I can't believe how fast this fashion week has gone by! Only two days left! And as everyone knows, with the close of one fashion show, I'd like to start planning another. My question though is, should it have a theme, or just modest fashion? I've been trying to think of some heroine who everyone knows about, so far not so good.

I've discovered that my pictures come out better pretending I'm someone else! Does that mean I have personality issues? Do I really think I'm Nancy Drew? Deep thoughts...

Nancy Drew Fashion Week Day-4 "Nancy In Slacks"

I tried to be a bit more creative today, and dressed as I think Nancy might have dressed, perhaps in the 40's or 50's? Obviously Nancy can't wear skirts all the time. This particular day she was traipsing through the woods, and of course sensibility reigns over fashion in this case. 

I'm wearing a pair of sensible sleuth worthy shoes from Payless ($8), modest Grey slacks from Target ($10) Pink coral 50's style cardigan from Vanity ($2) Plain White shirt from Ross ($5) 50's style neck scarf (?) And Nancy's trusty bag and magnifying glass. For what teenage sleuth is complete without her magnifying glass?

You can thank Hannah....I mean my mom for my hair. Didn't she do a lovely job? I think I might have to do it this way again.

An excellent sleuth always looks behind her.

A touch of mystery in my eye was what I was aiming for.

Today is day 4 of the Nancy Drew Fashion Week! It's flown by, hasn't it? I'm going to try very hard to get a vinatge outfit today, but no promises. *GRIN*

Nancy Drew Fashion Week Day-3 Modern Nancy

Today is Nancy Drew Fashion Week-Day 3! Unfortuantley this morning I forgot...and dressed in my 'spring outfit'. So for my purposes, this is what Nancy would wear in the year 2011, colorful, unique, so Nancy! I'm thinking I'm having a love affair with lime green now...

 

 I got tons of compliments on my skirt, but I think they were only out of desperation to see green grass soon. Most of the compliments consisted of: "Oh! I love your skirt! It's reminds me of spring! Man...I wish spring would come soon.." followed by the usual Montana wineing about the snow. While I wish Spring would hurry up and get here, I'm thankful to live in such a beautiful state! The majestic mountains, snow capped and towering over my head. The massive blue sky, of which I can see all, including the puffy white clouds.

 Forgive the messy hair, I had it up in a bun and got back from church, pulled it out and forgot to tak pictures. So what you see is what you get! *GRIN*
