Frequently Asked Questions

Q. If this is a modesty blog-why are posting photos of yourself?
A. Some people are confused about what exactly a "modest fashion blog" is. For clarification purposes, this doesn't mean that I think I'm blogging about being humble! When referring to modest fashion, I'm talking about the aspect of clothing (not attitude). Does this mean the only reason I have my blog is so I can post photos of myself? No!
In fact I was hesitant to post my outfits, I'll never be the most stylish person, nor have the most expensive clothing. However, I think girls need an example of everyday fashion, instead of just the runway models who seem worlds away from our everyday lives. So the modest in my title refers to not showing everything and dressing discreetly.

Q. So you are a Mormon fashion blogger then?
A. No, actually I'm a Christian! I know that probably 90% of fashion blogs are written by Mormons and I'm in the minority! I enjoy reading other people's blog so much! Each and every one pushes me to put more thought and effort into the way I dress.

Q. Am I welcome if I'm not a Christian?
A. Absolutely! I welcome anyone who stumbles upon my little blog! I never want anyone to feel that they aren't welcome.
Also keep in mind that I'm perfectly fine with respectful discussions. If you have something to say, please say it! Just be sure to put nicely and not just say something to attack others.

Q. How tall are you?
A. 5"8

Q. When did you become a Christian?
A. I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior at the age of 11 and my life has never been the same!

Q. What are your views on dating?
A. I personally believe that dating, in the modern day sense, is not for me. My plan is to ultimately wait on God and follow His will. Ideally, I'd like to be friends with a guy before any mention of courting/dating/romance. Some people are afraid that if they trust God, He'll leave them alone and living with 15 cats.
1. God says in His word He'll never leave us, nor forsake us! And really, no one is ever truly alone, though they may feel that way.
2. If I can trust God to protect, provide and love me, why can't I trust Him to bring a husband to me in the right timing?
Would I be okay with being single for the rest of my life? Yes! Because I know that if God chooses to keep me single, He has something extra special He wants to use me for, obviously something that I couldn't do while married.

Q. Do you mind if I email you when I have a question or have something to say?
A. Absolutely not! I welcome emails from my readers-in fact they make my day (as do comments!)

  1. Hey! Just dropped in and can't wait to see more of what you're writing. I just had to comment here about the second question -- it's too funny! I'm also not Mormon but Christian, so I feel you! ;)

  3. I found your blog actually researching "christian fashion blogs". i am doing a blog assignment for my communication class and they told us to do a blog. I had the inspiration to do this type of blog and look you have helped me just start the idea rolling. I am too a christian-pentecostal and some of the clothes girls have to deal with are so indecent we end up looking frumpy. That is cool you doing this. keep on going and God bless!

Natasha- I found your blog while I was searching " Female Christian Fashion Blog" I think that it is really inspiring to see your pursuit of conservative fashionable fashion and also enjoyed reading your FAQ's about your beliefs; as a Christian and a Fashionista I am very encouraged that others share similar view points- Ashlee

Here are a few comment guidelines:
This is an open discussion, being so, I'm open to other people's opinions! However, please keep the discussion nice and if you'd like to critique something, please do it tactfully! I.E-instead of "I hate that outfit!" putting, "I think the outfit is a bit miss matched, however I like ___."
Your comments are so appreciated-you rock!
