I'm wearing: Scarf-Forever 21-gift, Gloves-gift-from Avonlea set!- Jean Jacket-borrowed from my sister Patience, Dress-Forever21, Pants-thrifted, boots-gojane.com 

I got these gloves from my parent's fro Christmas, but the coolest part is that they were worn on the set of Avonlea! Isn't that awesome? So I imagined that Sara Stanley or Felicity King wore them...although in reality it was probably some extra that was on the set for 2.5 seconds. LOL! Fun to imagine anyway! The scarf was also a Christmas present! 

It's been sort of a weird year in regards to snow-it hasn't snowed hardly at all! Which actually isn't good, since we need the moisture. The snow hasn't melted off, but it hasn't come down anymore. It's just been cold! Which is okay too, whatevs. I'd have to say that jeans under my dress was an attempt at staying warm without too much bulk. Sometimes leggings or tights just don't cut it! Some other cold weather tips for wearing skirts-

wear 2 pairs of socks (wool is best!)

leg warmers over tights

hats and scarves actually do keep you warm (they're not just for looks!)

What I Wear- Vintage Floral Skirt And Eggshells

Eggshells, beating around the bush, putting it delicately -how many ways can you say keeping your mouth shut?! People that have known me for awhile will know I'm...bold. Blunt. I don't like to dance around subjects, if someone's doing something that I know is wrong, I'm not just going to keep my mouth shut and let them keep doing it. Yes, certain situations call for closing your mouth. But why do we feel we can't tell people what's on our minds? I think most of the time, we don't want to come off as being "judgmental". It's true isn't it? We want to be the "open minded" Christians. But does open minded mean we've abandoned everything we believe-everything the Bible says-just so we don't appear judgmental?!

A lot of the time, we put up a front. Like we have it all together, like we never make mistakes. Why can't we just be honest with one another and say "Hey. I'm really struggling. I don't have everything together!" Being a blunt person doesn't always make you popular, in fact it can make you very unpopular! But the truth is always best.

I want to make it clear, I'm not talking about saying whatever your thinking. Saying things in love is the key! Words can be helpful, or hurtful, you choose. Instead of saying "Wow, little sister! That's the ugliest outfit I've ever seen!" you could offer to help her pick out an outfit, and say something like "I really like that shirt, but I think it might look better with another skirt. Like this one would look really cute!" See what I mean? If you feel the need to say something, don't just close your mouth! Figure out a nice way to say it, and proceed with caution! 

The Conclusion to this sermon? Don't walk on eggshells, and be careful of how, and what your saying to someone.

What I Wear- Purple With Polka Dots

 Dear Mademoiselles,

I'm positive that every one of you lovely ladies has been sitting at your computer just waiting for me to post my outfit! Okay, a few of you? One or two? No one...? Okay...wow! That was depressing...really? No one?! Well perhaps a few of you may be interested in my outfit anyway. I've been trying to 'revamp' my website. By revamping, I mean I'm thinking of re-doing the layout-yes again. I'd like more of a "fashion-y vintage" feel. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I've been considering sketching something for the header, I'm just not sure what yet. 

Check out my fake-y Montana background! It's even more green and lush than it looks in the pictures! I sigh deeply every time I look out the window, so beautiful!

As most of you may have guessed, flip flops are my Summer staple. I rarely wear anything else! I run around barefoot all year long, and flip flops are like being barefoot! Which is awesome, since I wouldn't go barefoot into a store. Though I may wish to sometimes. Want to know an irratation for me? SOCKS! I hate them! I wear my flip flops and sandals as long as I can, even when it gets a bit chilly. Simply because I don't like socks...or shoes for that matter. My feet always feel constricted! I'm sure everyone has those "things" they immensley dislike. Mine would be socks, and artificial watermelon!

What I Wear- Emma Turquoise Regency Dress From Ross

Two 'What I Wear Posts' in a row?! Yeah, don't get used to it! Its a fluke...

I'm just hanging around the house today, but I went ahead and wore this outfit anyway. I was debating about wether or not I should wear it, since I was hanging around the house, the conclusion? Why not! I can look nice for just me-...and my readers..-can't I? Oh yeah, noticing anything different? My hairs clean! For whatever reason, its seems like I've been doing nothing but being behind for the past two weeks! No idea why...

I'm making pizza tonight, as we are having a 'family night'. Family night at my house consists of pizza, a game, or maybe a movie. Shanghai is the official Atkerson card game, seriously I grew up watching the adults play this game! It was a coming of age when I got to finally play the game myself! Of course its a game of strategy, and I stink at it... but I'm okay with that! "REAL" Atkersons can get slightly mean with the rules...for example...they don't let 5 year olds get away with drawing a card at the wrong time-no do-overs! But the game has gotten slightly less violent...or competitive...or ridiculous ...or whatever....

Naw, I'm just pulling your leg-kind of.
