Why Is It Important To Dress Femininely?

3 comments:
I received this comment today from Sara:

  • "Why is it important to dress femininely?-Sara"
Definition of Femininity: the trait of behaving in ways considered typical for women.

We're girls, be happy with that! Embrace what God created you to be, a woman. To help you out in understanding this, think about something.

What would you do if you saw a horse walking around on it's hind legs all the time? And when you asked the owner, they told you that it was because the horse wanted to be human!

While this may seem a bit silly, this is the basic idea of dressing feminine. Why try to be something we're not?

  • So Skirts Are The Only Option?
Absolutely not! For me, I felt like God was calling (or asking me) to wear skirts. Do I wear skirts because they're more "holy" than pants? No! I wear them because HE asked me to.
I encourage you to decided if you personally, are being called to wear skirts. If not, that's fine! It's not for everyone. But if the clothes your wearing would look fine on a guy (father, brother, guy-friend), they're probably not very feminine. After I started wearing skirts, I realized that they CAN be a lot more modest than jeans. (I do own a pair of slacks by the way) Modest jeans are a lot harder to find than skirts. But skirts can also be im-modest.

It's funny (well not really...but you know!) ladies can get almost violent about the topic of modesty and skirts. I've read some ladies articles, and listened to some ladies speaking, and you can tell God's working on them. Yet they get angry, instead of listening to God's voice! Bitterness does not become thee! : )

Basic jist of this post? Be a girl! It's who God created you to be. That's why it's important to dress feminine!

I hope that answers your question Sara! And if anyone needs something explained to them more clearly, please don't hesitate to ask!

Acne Treatment: The Natural Way (Or Nearly)

4 comments:
Hey everyone, if you struggle with acne then this article is for you.

So heres my advice to you:

  1. Change your pillowcase everyday!
  2. Use lots of Clearsil, Clean and Clear, and Neotrogena products that have TON of chemicals that harm your skin instead of helping it.
  3. Use every product on the market, make sure its reallllllyyyy expensive and time intensive.

Ha! Ha! No, thats not my advice! This is what I personally have heard.
Now for busting these suggestions to pieces:
  1. Who on Earth has the time to change their pillowcase every single stinken day! Thats crazy and unrealistic! At most, I would get mine washed once a week, maybe! That may work but its not a great idea!: )
  2. I have read that products "For acne treatment" can actually cause more acne! Which if you think about it, makes sense. Why would they give you a product that would get rid of it and then have you not buy their product anymore!
  3. You don't have to pay millions of dollars to help with your acne! And you shouldn't!
Now, I won't leave you desititute and wondering what to do! I'm going to tell you about three things that have helped me personally I'm not working for any skin company, and I gain nothing by telling you this! I have three things that may help you with your acne. I don't have the kind of acne that will follow me into adulthood, so I have no idea if it will help others. But if you have pimples due to stress, hormones, or food this may help you out as it did me!

  1. Tea Tree Oil
  2. Tooth paste
  3. Dove Soap Bar

The first is something that I heard about through another girl from another website! She didn't have a link to her blog, so I have never been able to thank her! But I'm very grateful to her!
How to apply Tea Tree Oil:
You can either apply a dilluted Tea Tree oil with water EXAMPLE OF TEA TREE OIL HERE The link is the kind I personally buy. It will sting if you apply it directly! So either mix it with water, or put some in your hands and pour Tea Tree oil, and spread around your face. Cold water works best to rinse with, and will help you feel fresh!
The other way (easier, but more expensive) is the Tea Tree oil cleansing pads TEA TREE OIL CLEANSING PADS Which are very easy to use, and you throw the pads out when your done with them.
You can also apply Tea Tree oil directly to the pimple with a cue tip.

Now for toothpaste. Your probably thinking that I'm crazy right now! I know I'm crazy! But if you apply a thin coat of toothpaste to an inflammed pimple, it will puss, and go away! The pimple is actually half the size by the next day! It works great for pussy pimples.

Who says you have to use Clearsil, or Clean and Clear (insert your acne product) you don't! You can use a Dove soap bar, and get much better results! Plus, it doesn't have yucky ingrediants you can't pronounce!

Please, before you tell me I'm nuts, do these four things:
  1. Don't pick your pimples
  2. Use one of the above items
  3. Wash your face every morning and evening before bed.
  4. And tell me how it went in three weeks!
Please let me know if you try this, and take before and after pictures and share them!
Disclaimer: I only have "teen pimples" which means they will go away after I'm older. I'm not suggesting this for people with adult acne! I know this won't work if you have Adult acne, so this isn't for you! I have no idea what you go through, and don't pretend to be an expert. This is only whats worked for me.

3 comments:
So, my 16th (YIKES! THATS OLD!) birthday is in May! My Mom informed me that I'm supposed to get a dress! I'm totally excited, I love dresses! So...my question for you:

Where do you reccomend buying a dress? I can go far out and crazy, but keep it under the $60-$50 price bracket! : ) Cheaper, thats great! But that was about average price from what I saw.
Anyones ideas are greatly appreciated! The only thing I won't wear, is bohemian! We don't mix well! LOL!
One more thing, I want knee length or longer! Low cuts not a problem, that can be fixed.
So, go forth and leave a comment!

Modesty Tip #1 "The Wonders Of Tank Tops!"

5 comments:

ello!

All right, while sitting here contemplating what to write about today, I decided I will open up shop for....(drumroll please!) Modesty tips! We all know it can be hard sometimes to find clothing that's modest! I'm of the opinion that you should only follow what's "in style" till it becomes immodest. I don't really follow all the latest trends (I will not wear those ugly blind glasses! You know what I'm talking about! Those glasses at Claire's that serve no purpose whatsoever! No UV protection at all!) I do wear ripped, distressed jeans. But even those can become immodest! I don't know if any of you wear ripped jeans, but sometimes the rips get a little too high, and placed in the wrong places! (I'll post about that at a later date!) But for now, I'll tackle the issues of low cut shirts. Some are of the opinion that if you don't show cleavage, then a shirt isn't too low. That may be true in most cases (I do believe in not showing cleavage!) But Most of the time low cut shirts (Even without cleavage!) can be immodest. It can be cut down to there belly button on some girls, and still not show cleavage! I want to say that even if your wearing a tank top, it can still be immodest. Some shirts out there have teeny weeny bits of fabric sticking out, yet they cover nothing at all! What to do when you get this shirt? Here are some choices!

  1.      You can sew strip of fabric onto the collar.

  2. If your not a "sewing person" then a tank top is a great choice.

  3. Sometimes the tank top will not come high enough, TURN IT AROUND BACKWARDS!: )

Other uses for tank tops or camis (specified!)

  1. Tank tops work great for layering!

  2. they can also be layered themselves! I.E the tank doesn't come high enough, or the arm holes are too low, simply use the tank tops together! (Personally, I don't wear them by themselves unless I'm doing something at the house (exercise or its REALLY hot)

  3. Tank tops can be used under a sheer shirt for modesty

  4. Camis: I have to say on these that I prefer tank tops! But Camis can work great too. Mostly I use them for under a button down shirt, or something like that.

Do any of you have ideas of how to use tank tops (or camis) for modesty? Please note: I'm not pushing my beliefs on you, I'm simply stating my feelings about modesty, and trying to help you think of so many more ways to be more modest!

Need help?
