Today is day eight of the 12 days of modest fashion event! I'm thrilled with the turn out (as many as 14 but only as few as 7!). Fantastic!

I picked this dress up at the thrift store the other day. I really like that it's sweater fabric, yet flattering. Most sweaters don't look very good on me-even though I wear them occasionally. The dress has see-through fabric so I paired it with my Modesty 4 Me cami and jeggings. I'm pleased with this outfit, lately I haven't been very happy with the finished products that come out of my closet. Un-inspired, I suppose.

What I Wear-How To Wear Jeggings Modestly

I decided to cut the photos down to only two. Do you prefer only 1 or 2, or 4-7? I'm also happy to announce that I've reached 215 followers! Yay!

I'm wearing: White Lace Cami Boss Wear ($6) Black Thrifted Cardigan ($3) Vanity Skirt ($10) Kmart Jeggings ($5) (note to self, need to trim bangs!)

So I've had a 'creative burst'. I made my fur vest! What do you think? I lined the inside with old blue jean fabric from discarded jeans. It came out exactly as I wanted it to! I also have a confession...I modeled this off of a vest that a girl on Good Luck Charlie (a Disney tv show) wore. I know...lame...But in my defense, I couldn't find one I liked in stores, so you make it right?! My next project is going to be a flared 40's/50's style skirt. I also have a TON of fur left over, any ideas of what I could use it for, ladies?

What I Wear- Fall Approaching

Well, it's happening! The weather is starting to cool down, the leaves are changing..it's fall! I'm actually excited this Winter! I can't wait to wear my new sweaters and boots! Bring the snow on! Did I just say that...? Yep! Although it's supposed to go back to 80+ in a couple of days, today it's 50 deg! So I'm wearing a hoodie...and flip flops...I took these pictures yesterday. In trying to be positive about Winter, I'm acutally looking forward to it now! Plus everyone loves my Montana snow backgrounds, right?!

I had to go to the dentist yesterday...I have a cavity. Yuck. But it's only a small one, or so they say. Do they just do that to make you feel better? On top of that, our electricity was out all night, and thus I brushed my teeth outside, with a spit cup! I think I could become obsessed with brushing and flossing my teeth! GRIN

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing since my hygienist said that she has some people who only brush their teeth ONCE a MONTH!

What I Wear- Casual Tuesday & Freedom

Today I feel grateful. Grateful that I can even write this blog post. Grateful that I can talk about God on my blog, and not be put into prison for it. Blessed to live in America! No, America isn't perfect. In fact we have some serious issues. But we have the freedom to have those issues! We have the freedom to tell people what we're thinking. No one can tell me not to dress in these clothes, and nobody can tell you to stop reading my blog! Not every country has these freedoms, these blessings.



I think with all the economic stuff going on, we've forgotten what a wonderful country we live in. We may not be happy when congress or the president does something that goes against what we wanted, but we have the freedom to step out and say "Hey! I don't like that!" But with that freedom, comes abuse and un-gratefulness. We forget all the men and women who have died so that we could have that freedom. Did they die in vain? No! They died so that I could talk about God. If those men hadn't fought in WWII, Germany could have taken over the world. If men hadn't died freeing us from the King of England, we wouldn't have the freedom to go or not go to whatever church we choose.

I know beyond a shadow of doubt that God was in all of that. And He's in America now. It may take some time to wake everyone up, but it's going to happen. God's not done with us. Will America be around for billions more years? I have no idea. What I do know is that God will never leave His people, regardless of how many times we've slapped Him in the face. He's still holding out His hand of mercy.
