Many of you expressed an interest in know more about "me" in my latest survey. So this is odd for me! Being the Blogger is different than the Blog reader-the Blogger has been blogging for 3 years, thus I have a list of topics I've covered on my blog. Problem is, the readers are constantly changing! I may have previously written posts on modesty until my reader's eye balls fell out, but lately I haven't covered the topic at all! So in an effort to share a bit about my life I'm going to try to list 5 things at the bottom of each post (we'll see if it works out!) about myself. If anyone gets sick of hearing about me, yell and I'll stop! Because honestly, I'm not a super fascinating person! But I'll try to think up some interesting things to share, like:
  1. I have a strange "book protection program". I flip out if someone bends my book! I literally read The Lord Of The Rings series in a paperback version and didn't break the binding! (it also lies flat on the book shelf, none of that cover "boinging"!) I also don't let me sister Melissa read any of my books because she's a habitual book abuser!! Sad, but true! ; ) Books are our friends, would you beat up your friend?! I think not!
  2. I love exercise! I know, most of you are probably rolling your eyes! My favorite program is Turbo Fire (please note that the outfits aren't modest on the DVD's-I'm blessed enough to have a basement apart from the guys to exercise).
  3. I HATE artificial Watermelon-it smells like barf to me.
  4. Algebra was "easy", Geometry was not so hot.
  5. I'm an amateur artist-in the smallest sense of the word. Check out my art blog here: www.artbynatasha.blogspot.com
So there you have it! Five things about me! Now it's our turn-leave a comment telling me five things about yourself!
Oh, I almost forgot that it's my 3 year blogaversary this month! Check out my first "What I Wear" post HERE! (yes it's pretty awful). And my first post EVER!

What I Wear-Weight Lifting And Resistance Training

So I managed to smoosh an outfit post into the day! Thanks for all the advice on packing Summer clothes away! So pretty much I did just pack away my shorts and a couple shirts I probably won't wear during Winter and colder seasons. But honestly, I'm a little ashamed to say that my wardrobe is now busting at the seams! Literally, no exaggeration, I can't fit a single hanger in anywhere! I did get rid of a few pieces, but not enough to make a dent. I have this emotional attachment to my clothes-every piece makes me hesitate. Here's a glimpse of what goes on in my head while deciding on getting rid of something:
Takes piece of clothing off hanger. "Oh! That's kinda ugly, I haven't worn it in almost a year..." Stick it in the thrift store/leaving bag. Ten seconds later: "But...I could wear it with that _____, or maybe this....NO! I need to get rid of it. Good bye sweet friend....Or...."
Something like that! LOL! ; )

Since most of you said "yes" to the Fitness tips, I'm sharing a bit today about weight lifting/resistance training.
I'm currently doing a hybrid Turbo Fire and ChaLEAN Extreme for exercise. Lately I've been wondering why I'm doing it! The backs of my thighs were so soar this week from doing weight lifting (don't freak out, it's more like resistance training) that they were actually soar to the touch, like: Ow! You brushed my leg I'm gonna kill you!!! But I think it's definitely worth it, I can see changes in my body and how I feel (aside from the soarness) I also get sick far less than I used to.

Anyway...my reason for bringing this randomly into this post-weights do NOT bulk ladies up. I used to think that girls who weight lift got those disgusting huge muscles that made them look like guys-not the case at all! Since starting the weight lifting/resistance training I've learned why that is. Guys have testosterone, which is why they can make huge muscles. Girls have estrogen, causing them to get smaller as a result of weight lifting! Now, you're asking about those ladies you've seen with the huge muscles. #1, they are on steroids. #2, they workout 24/7 (even then it would be very hard!). Most likely it's #1. Resistance/weight lifting is really good for you! It makes your bones stronger, you stronger, makes your cardio more effective (a pound of muscle burns 5X more fat as a pound of muscle!), gives you better balance and a whole bunch more benefits than I can list here in one post. I'm only up to 12 pounds (15 is probably as high as I'll go, since I can maintain this much) but considering 5 pounds used to kill me...
It's also important to remember to stick with a number you can maintain, because if you don't, you will lose your muscle, and....you know....the muscle will...ooze? ; ) Anyone have any questions? Are you doing any resistance/weight training?

I'm Wearing: Orange Shirt: Thrifted ($2), Halftee: C/O Halftee.com, Blue Jean Skirt: Thrifted ($3), Flip Flops: San Uk ($20)
Love it, hate it, could care less, can't wait-whatever your reaction to Fall-it's coming! Previous years have left a bad taste in my mouth. It meant the end of Summer fun, concerts, road trips and flip flops. But I've been really convicted in the last year or so that I need to be happy with whatever circumstances I'm in-because it's where God's placed me. I'm here in Montana for a reason, so why not enjoy the cold? So that's what I'm doing! Only...it's not cold yet. So I'm actually anticipating Fall/Winter this year! The more I decided to enjoy the coming cold weather, the more I anticipate it! Pinterest was actually highly instrumental in my new found "cold weather love"! One keyword typed into the search engine brings up all the cozy, wonderful items associated with the seasons coming. Scarfs, hats, coats, boots and so much more! Dressing is way easier for me in the Winter, my Winter clothes are much cuter, I can layer and make nicer outfits! (Not to mention that the snow makes a lovely outfit backdrop!)
Halftee was gracious enough to send me this lovely cream colored long sleeve Halftee! I'm convinced that it's going to be the ultimate piece in my Fall wardrobe-converting all my Summer clothes into Winter! I also discovered something on my Disneyland trip-the Halftee is reversible for slobs. No, really! ; ) I......dribbledteadownthefrontofmeandstainedtheonlyundershirtIbroughtwithme. Get that? So after I, um...spilled on myself, I discovered the next day that my Halftee shirt was handy because I could wear it "backwards" and 'voila, stain gone! Pretty nifty! Honestly, other than this shirt, I'm not getting anything for telling you this! I don't get anything if you click the link, I don't get anything if you buy one from them! I already have the shirt, they can't take it away from me...so I'm telling the truth! If you can afford it, BUY ONE! They're awesome! They also recently added plus size (up to 2XL!)! I can honestly say that I've worn my short sleeve one into oblivion! My only complaint is that the white becomes soiled far too easy! (Although that tends to happen if you wear it every day for a week...)
