What I Wear- 50's Inspired Skirt

"When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent."  Proverbs 10:19
I'm super excited about two new shirts I found at JcPenney! This one-and one with roses! For $7.99! So cute, thermal waffle fabric with holes! Yep, you heard me right! Holes! Thumb holes, that is. I think the thumb holes give at an extra 'something'.

I got these cute ballet flats at Payless for $8! A super good deal! I broke one of the fashion rules today, I wore more than one statement piece!

  1. I love the thumb hole shirt! You could also do a DIY for that sort of thing. Hmmmmmmmmmm...

My favourite after Christmas bargain? Today, my family and I went to the mall with Christmas money we got from Grandparents and such and went shopping. I got a trench coat and I love, love, love it!!! :)

  6. I really like your plaid skirt! Wuhoo for plaid skirts! :) And that top with the thumb holes looks really cool. It looks kind of punk, which is a look I like but don't do often.

You know what really struck me about this post was your verse on top. The bible really knows what it's saying when it carefully puts key words to convey each verse's meaning. Like the one that you used up on top, some people might take only the other half of that verse to their advantage as don't say anything at all. Some might do a better job and take that as don't say anything at all when you're accused falsely and ridiculed, especially in a conflict. Although, the bible also instructs us how to deal with conflict in Matt 18:15-17 where it outlines how to speak to your brother. God was specific enough to say in Proverbs, "When words are many, TRANSGRESSION is not lacking...", which goes to say, in your words, you must not sin. It's okay to express anger and other emotions to your brother, but you must not sin. In Eph 4:26 is where it says this. Amazing, isn't it? I have been trying to tell other people about this and how to deal with conflict. Being silent isn't the answer (perhaps later when your efforts from Matthew have been exhausted), but communication without causing you to sin, is very important in resolving your arguments.

Anyway, that must've been odd of me to talk more about the verse than your cute outfit! :) I just felt that people really need to understand and apply the bible more in their everyday lives.

Also, for the fashion show: I would love to! I did see your email the first time, thank you! I don't think I can fully participate for the entire time though because I am quite slow with my updates because of other boring stuff I have to do, and I don't always do outfits in every post. I'll participate anyway for whatever I can contribute :) Thanks for the reminder!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family!

This is an open discussion, being so, I'm open to other people's opinions! However, please keep the discussion nice and if you'd like to critique something, please do it tactfully! I.E-instead of "I hate that outfit!" putting, "I think the outfit is a bit miss matched, however I like ___."
