What I Wear-Pastel Lace

This is actually what I wore on Sunday, in case you haven't figured it is Tuesday...
Yep, I'm a tad bit behind in posting! Anyway, enough self chastisement!

I'm Wearing: Blue Shirt-thrifted $3, White Tank top-Vanity $6, Cream Lace Skirt-Vanity $6, Transparent sandals-Forever 21 $5, Necklace and earrings-Gift from Grandparents $0 Total: $20

How would you wear this skirt?

  1. Super cute outfit! I love your skirt!

    Decked Out in Ruffles

  2. Love the skirt! And your necklace is so pretty.

  3. Very pretty. Very nice way to style this skirt.

Hmm... how would I style it??? Well, besides the way YOU did, maybe with a denim-colored top I have...

Hope you have a marvelous day!

  4. I really like this outfit, Natasha! I love the turquoise and lace together, and the necklace goes perfectly:)

  5. Hey Natasha,I would probably wear this with a lightly colored button up shirt and cream scarf.
Just an F Y I, the skirt is a bit see threw, maybe add a slip under next time?
Have a great rest of your week!

  6. Hey Natasha, I was just wondering what 'denomination' you are and what church you go to. I like the pairing of those two v-neck style shirts along with the necklace! But...I have to admit I was a bit surprised to see you in such a short skirt...just wondering how you set your clothing boundarys based on the bible dress codes..? And what your standards are... no pants, pants only at home, no pants at church? (And so on...) THANKS! ;-) ~Rebekah

  7. Rebekah,
    Thanks so much for reading!
I'm non-denominational. While I'm in no way saying these should be everyone's modesty standards, these are just mine! So this is a list of things I PERSONALLY believe are modest, or immodest for me:
Shirts should be tight enough to show I'm a woman, loose enough to show I'm a lady.
Skirts/pants shouldn't be overly tight, especially in the rear area.
No low cut tops, unless paired with a cami or tank top.
My skirt length guideline is either knee length (like this lace skirt I'm wearing here) or if they're shorter, they need leggings. Any shorter than two-three inches I pair them with pants or a longer skirt underneath.

As far as your question on pants goes, wearing skirts is something I personally like to do. I felt like God was leading me to wear more skirts a couple years ago. So I wear skirts about 80% of the time, but I also wear pants and bermuda shorts.
I don't believe, personally, that the Bible gives any specifics when it comes to modesty. I know a lot of people believe the Bible says we HAVE to wear skirts, this isn't my personal belief. Does that answer your question?
I'd be more than happy to answer any other questions you might have!
    Have a fantastic day, Rebeka!

    1. Thanks for replying so quickly and answering my inquiries! ;-) While I am here I wanted to compliment you on your beautiful, long hair! My older and younger sisters both have really long hair also, but sadly I can not seem to get mine to grow after cutting it about 4 years ago... Well,it has grown, but at a pace that equals about an inch a year! :-( So...a new question I have is,what kind of things do you do for your hair? Anything special? Thanks again... ~Rebekah in Michigan

  8. I'm non-denom too! Just to reassure you, I think what you're wearing is perfectly fine!

  9. Hey Natasha, you look so amazing in this outfit. It is so perfect - lace and aqua blue are two of my absolute favorite things in the world! I wouldn't change anything about this outfit - it is PERFECT!! Love it. =) =)

  10. My little sister loves this look!!!!!!! :D :D :D

  11. This is gorgeous!Would you do a diet and exercise post, with exercising outfits? Please? :D

    1. Natasha has done some in the past that I have read...but i also agree! I would love a update on what she has been doing.I love exercising!
So Natasha, you now have two requests that you do one! :D
It would be great if you could, also maybe what you are wearing for swimwear this year ? Always love new ideas on that one!

  12. I love how you added a pop of color to that gorgeous skirt! And that necklace is oh so cute. Thank you for stopping by my blog!

    James 4:8

  13. Natasha, I would wear this skirt with either a chambray top (sadly I don't own one, though!), or with a light pink cami, belt, and cardigan to keep it modest!

I really like how you styled it, though! BTW I really admire your sense of style. We have similar standards, so it's nice to find modest clothing examples! Probably the hardest thing for me to wear modestly is dresses and shorts, since I am tall and thin. It's hard to find dresses that are long enough and shorts that fit nice without being shorter than my family's standards (which is basically the fingertips rule).

Anyway, great job and you look beautiful as always!
