Have you ever considered how the clothes we wear may affect those around us? We've talked numerous times before about how modesty affects how others view us. But what about how clothing naturally causes people around us to draw certain conclusions? Indeed, we've yet to cover that topic. So I'll endeavor to do it justice, without boring you with a ten page blog post.
Winter seems to be dragging on, but let’s not forget that it’s just about a month before spring is officially here! Our hibernation while cooped up inside our houses just makes us even more creative, trying to find ways to best spend our times wisely before we spend it all day at a park come spring… from brushing up on our sewing to learning more about God’s word.

I completely agree!!! What we wear says so much, and I have always been of the mindset too that you never know who you may come across and you want to be the best version of you. Thanks for the great post!!

I totally agree! When I see the way someone's dressed, I either feel normal, or that I'm getting judged by over dressed people, or I feel that I'm not in wearing appropriate clothes and get really self conscious. I love how you dress pretty and appropriate. If others think bad of me cause of my clothing how can I say Jesus loves them. Some people are so strict they don't show love, and other people fit in so much they are ashamed to say anything about Jesus. I think we're obligated to be an attractive light so God can use us to help people.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteAnd so true...we seriously do need to think about and portray ourselves in a way that shows we really do care about our appearance! We really do need to respect ourselves and the people around us!

I can really show people what God did for me by dressing gloriously. There's a picture of Jesus in the crucifixion holding up a beautiful ballerina as the bride of Christ, and it's painful to look at Jesus, but then see the glory and beauty He gives us as we take on His righteousness while He becomes sin is so amazing. Search 'Jesus ballet' in images. Just a revalation I had as I seen the photo which wasn't meant to send such a powerful message.
ReplyDeleteGood discussion point (in fact your alluding to it in Lauren's comment sent me over here). I definitely agree. X
