What I Wear- Three Tone Peach Skirt & Trials

Dear God,
please help today to be good. Please don't let any struggles or pain come into my life.
Amen

Ever prayed this prayer (or the equivalent of)? I know I've prayed something similar. I've asked God to take something painful, hard, or just plain "un-fun", out of my life. But is that the way we should live? Should we expect God to take every difficulty out of our lives? I don't think so. Pain and trials shape us, would you change who you are today, for less pain in your past? I wouldn't. I know that things in my past helped me in the long run. A painful friendship that wasn't so hot taught me to be a better friend. Being excluded helped me realize how painful cliques are...the list goes on and on!

I guess what I'm saying is, instead of complaining to God about trials, thank Him! No, you don't have to be happy your in this place, but be happy it's shaping you into the person God wants you to be.

"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him." James 1:12

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2-4

  1. Cute!! Is that a tank and a shirt, or just a shirt with lace? Love that skirt's color with white!

This is an open discussion, being so, I'm open to other people's opinions! However, please keep the discussion nice and if you'd like to critique something, please do it tactfully! I.E-instead of "I hate that outfit!" putting, "I think the outfit is a bit miss matched, however I like ___."
Your comments are so appreciated-you rock!
