So, as much as I'm looking forward to Ashley's 30 for 30 Challenge, I'm also slightly aprehensive! I think it's definitely going to stretch me using only 30 pieces for 30 days! It starts on Sunday the 14th-anyone else care to join in? I think it will be fun! The hardest part will be posting 30 days in a row, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to do that! I plan on taking photos for all thirty days, but probably doubling or tripling up on outfit posts (so two or three outfits in one post versus one outfit). Any suggestions?
I wore my Sugar Lips Apparel dress, only this time I paired it with my long sleeve Halftee! I also decided to wear actual jeans, instead of leggings this time as well as comfy fur boots. I went simple on the jewelry, as the dress print is fairly busy. I tried a white maxi skirt under the dress, but it looked a bit too "Laura Ingalls".
So I've been curious about this, but haven't asked till now because I kept forgetting.
I thought it would be interesting to find out what Goodwill clothing prices are in your area! So where I live:
Shirt-$3-$5
Shirt-$3-$5
Skirt-$3-$10
Pants-$5-$12
Jackets-$12-$15
Out of season clothes-$1.99
(and obviously they have their daily/weekly-not sure which?-Half price color)
QUESTION:Leave a comment with the average price of a shirt, a skirt and a pair of pants at your local Goodwill (or local thrift store if you don't have GW).
Hmmm... I live in a SMALL town. The nearest goodwill is about 45 min away. So I don't get there very often! :) But we do have a local thrift store. Shirts-$2-$4, Jackets-$10-$15, pants-$4-$7, skirts-$4-$6. Out of seasonal clothes-50% off. So not that bad! :)
ReplyDeleteI only shop at Goodwill when it is $1.23 day (the third Friday of every month). Otherwise the prices are $4 or above for tops and bottoms and $6 for dresses. :)

Hi Natasha!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit. I really like it!
My Goodwill prices are somewhere around $4.50 for shirts (non-sleeved are cheaper), skirts at about $6, and pants a little bit more than that. The prices are pretty "set", not changing with style or season. I love finding things that are the color of the week AND shopping on the first Saturday of the month when everything store-wide is 50% off! A LOT of my wardrobe is thrifted!
Blessings!

Cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteThose are about the same as the prices around here too--I often complain that they're too pricey for a thrift store, but I guess they're better than some places!

Here (Florida) tops at Goodwill are about 3.50 and dress are 5.99 unless they are formals, which I don't buy, but I think they are more. I think skirts and pants are 3.50 as well. They start a new color each monday for the half off deal, so if you shop on Saturday, like I often do, the half offs are often really picked over. The don't have any out of season, I guess because the weather only goes from hot to mildly chilly but they do have a section of leftovers (usually from Target) that are higher priced because they are new items. When we were on vacation last summer, we stopped in a Goodwill in Flagstaff, Arizona. The stuff was really different and interesting but the prices were much higher. And I left an old backpack with just some paper for the kids to draw on in the back of the pickup and someone stole it!
ReplyDeleteAt the Goodwills in our area, shirts, skirts, and pants are $3.75 each, unless they are "special finds". Shoes are like $3.50; and I think dresses are about 8.
ReplyDeleteIn DFW Texas shirts are $2-$8 (new with tags from Target); pants are $4-$6; skirts are $4+...that's all I normally buy, so I don't know about other things.
