What I Wear-Snow And Closet Switching Sisters!

Yes, the beautiful white background is back! I can't say I'm glad to see it, honestly I was enjoying the warm weather! (or at least my definition of warm weather!). However, as some of you may know, I decided that this year I was going to try to be happy with whatever the weather is, be it sunshine and warmth or sunshine and cold! I do have to admit that it makes a pretty darn good background. Not too distracting, yet interesting  in it's own way! I had an interesting experience coming home, almost did a 180 on a hill! Yikes!

During my workouts I wear a heart monitor and so does my older sister, we frequently push each other by asking what the other one's heart rate is at-my younger sister asked me after fish-tailing 4-5 times: "What's your heart rate at now Tasha?!" Definitely thankful that God is in control and not me!

I'm Wearing:
Brown Shirt-Thrifted $3
Scarf-Claire's $4
Skirt-Hand-me-down
Tights-?
Boots-Go Jane $20
Know how I said I was going through my closet? Well my younger sister Patience decided to as well...bad idea. We got rid of quite a bit, however we also exchanged quite a few items! It was mostly PATIENCE "Hey, I don't want this-do you?" ME: "Um...YES!" ME: "I never wear this, do you want it?" PATIENCE: "AHHH!! YES! Stop! I can't take any more, we're just switching them from my side to yours!" It did turn out okay I only ended up taking a few things and got rid of quite a few things that don't fit anymore. Believe me, closet purging is well worth the effort!

QUESTION: When was the last time you went through your clothes to get rid of some?

  1. I don't know what it is... but this is one of my favorite outfits you've ever done! :-) Very pretty.

I actually go through my clothes quite often. It's hard to get rid of stuff since there's that nagging thought of "what if I need it someday?", but I usually am able to keep my wardrobe somewhat balanced. :-)

    God bless!

  2. Cute outfit! I love the skirt! :D

I went through my clothes about a month ago, and got rid of about a large bag full. :)

Wow, it's actually SNOWING where you live?? Oh my!! It's like 75-80 degrees here ! We hardly ever get snow in the winter ~ and if we do, we only get about 1 or 2 inches max. !

  3. Lovely outfit! Love the color scheme. =)
I also noticed that your skin is looking really clear! I don't know if you're using any special products or anything but whatever you're doing, keep it up cause it's working. =) You look gorgeous. =)

  4. Callie-Thank you! That's very sweet of you to say. Honestly, I think it's due to eating more fresh fruits and vegetables. I also switched to using honey as a facial wash and olive oil for a moisturizer.
    Thanks for commenting!

  5. I love your outfit!!! :) :) The weather here has been 80 degrees.... Gotta love the South! Hahaha! That scarf is also so cute!
I went through my closet a couple months ago, and I do it about every couple months, there is a girl from my church that is a lot smaller than me that I give my too-tight clothes to, so I try to go through them more regularly because I know she likes having the new stuff..She has said to me once, "All you give to me is long skirts!" and I just told her that's pretty much the majority of what I had. Haha!

  6. Love your outfit! I think it's one of my new favorites of yours!(: I love the color scheme, especially the scarf and boots! Ahhh--and the snow!!! It definitely cooled down here in WA after having 70 degree weather on Easter...back to the fifties, but not cold enough for any snow here.

  7. I probably need to go through some of my clothes soon and get rid of what I don't need. We have a really neat organization in our town that gives clothes to a center for abused women and children. I'll probably donate my clothes to that.

I've also heard of some groups that are looking for old prom dresses to give to girls who normally wouldn't be able to afford to go to prom. I thought that was a neat idea.

Do you have a particular organization that you recommend donating to?

    1. Gabrielle,
Both those sound awesome! I can't really recommend any as we don't have any special programs where I live. I usually donate mine to a thrift store that gives jobs to mentally challenged people. Otherwise it just goes in Goodwill!
You should Google and see what comes up in your area!

  8. I go through my closet pretty regularly. I don't get rid of more than a couple of things at a time though because I don't buy clothes that often. I love this outfit and the snowy background is beautiful. Glad you didn't hurt yourself!

  10. Wow this is such a beautiful outfit ! I absolutly love the skirt and you did a great job at finding a shirt that wasn't too distracting ! You look really pretty on the pictures!
I agree with the snow. We had a snow storm where I live on March 13-15th after a nice springy weekend, and I felt like it was too much winter for me ! Thankfully now spring is settling and it's starting to warm up a little !
    Have a great day !

  12. Winter again! That's crazy. I like going through my closet once in a while. Mostly, any clothes I get rid of, I automatically give them to my younger sister because we're the same size. But it really feels like getting rid of them because we don't live in the same house. :P And if there's anything she doesn't want, I'm sure she just gives them to Goodwill or someone she knows or something. It's nice to get a little extra room in the closet...but then again, I often get somewhat emotionally attached to my clothes. When you've been wearing them for years, you know, they've been through so much with you! :P

And every season I get rid of some clothing, especially those I've never worn during Winter or Summer for instance.
