                                     Looking in the mirror, not anything she thought she'd be.

Mirror reflects the flaws back at her.

No perfect super model nose.

Less than lovely tresses.

Eyes don't seem to glow as they should.

Slightly crooked teeth.

Too small a chest.

Too large a waist.

Feet too big.

Applying the mask, she hides behind the foundation.

Slathers on the shadow, so dark you can't see her eyes.

Working at the gym, she sweats for hours.

Mirror on the wall, still telling her she's not good enough.

Now she's on her knees.

Tears washing away the mask.

These are the words to describe her.

Yes!

What I Wear- 40's Maurices Dress

So I'm super excited! The Nancy Drew Fashion Week starts day after tomorrow! Are you ready? I'm not! I realized I planned on making a dress, and never got around to it. Now that's sad! My own fashion show, not ready for it! Plane b? Thrift stores here I come! Remember, you can enter here or on Ashley's Blog. I encourage you to head over to her blog and become a follower. So what do you think of me getting all fancy on you? Yep, blurred background! Simply any blogger who's anyone is blurring the backgrounds...or something like that. Of course, real fashion bloggers probably can figure out how to set the camera to do that, I cheated and used Gimp.

Welcome to all of my new (and old) followers! I now have 160 people interested in modest fashion! That rocks! And since your supposed to write like every person reading your blog is a new follower, I'll give you a more personal update on me! I'm totally and insanely obsessed with music, and I'm currently teaching myself to play piano! The piano is such an amazing instrument (even if mine is out of tune)! I'm working on playing Ode To Joy by Bethoveen. I'm having a hard time reading the music, as every other insturment I've ever played (bass and acoustic guitar) has chords (such A-G and Am-Gm and a bunch of other boring stuff I won't mention) But I am making some progress reading the music. Patience and perserverance right?

What I Wear- Heat Of The Day Drags Me Down

Hey everyone! Well, I had the opportunity to for a photo shoot this evening. The river-as you can see behind us- is still roaring.

I'm wearing my "Anne" skirt again. I think it might become another white skirt for me! I've never actually owned anything khaki colored before! I think I might have had a pair of pants. But anyways...yep...Its 10:30 and my brain ain't workin too good. LOL! But I had time, so I thought I'd get these up before I forgot!

"Shout It!" Modest Online Fashion Show Day: 2

Hey everyone! Today's the second day of the fashion show! I've really enjoyed looking at all your outfits! I'm so encouraged by the fact that 18 girls out there are trying to dress in a modest fashionable way! I know God is looking down and smiling on you girls! And think about the countless other modest fashion blogs there are! I believe modesty is on the rise! I know that people say the fashion industry dictates what we wear, and whats "fashionable". But I don't believe that's true! WE make things fashionable! WE buy the clothes! WE choose to dress modestly, or not. In case you didn't know it, layering came and went last Summer, we were still wearing, and now its back! Hmm...funny! I have to say that this dress was the best buy I've ever made! It was on sale for-get this!- $2.99!!!!! At that price, you can wear it twice and donate it to a thrift store! (Okay, maybe not!) But anyways, I love it! As always, I love your guy's input. If you have a suggestion for any outfit, or a comment (you know I love 'em!) Please say so!
