What I Wear-Help Me and Walking Through Tshirt

6 comments:

This outfit is a great example of something I wear around the house, minus the cardigan on most days.  I chose to go with a casual outfit, pairing my pink cardigan with this awesome new trendy tshirt Walking Through sent me. I've worn this shirt numerous times since receiving it, it's incredibly comfy and versatile. I also love that the sleeves are cap sleeves, something missing from most Christian tshirt companies styles. I really don't like the regular tshirt sleeves, give me cap sleeves and day! For me, they just seem more feminine as well.
Never heard of Walking through? That's because they're new! Here's a little about The Christian tshirt company;
Walking Through Co. A Christian brand style of clothing where people would be proud to show their faith.
Our Mission: is to praise the lord and bring back the passion of our faith.
Our Vision:To run a successful business where we would be lucky to give back.
Psalm 23 "The lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He lead me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me,your rod and your staff they comfort me..."
This Bible verse has so much meaning to me because when my dad was passing, he
wanted me to read it to him every couple of hours. It brought him comfort and solace. One month after my dad passed,  my church wrote a news article  titled "Walking Through the Valley".Through this article I found comfort in reading the messages saying that even when we Walk Through the darkest valley,we are not stuck in the valley, just merely walking through. As we go through difficult times, God is teaching us to become humble and respect and value others and their journey. He carries us through the valley so we can empathize and help others through their own valleys.

I've been trying to (trying being the keyword) do more things with my hair. So I French braided my bangs and the front portion of my hair the night before, then put my hair in "headband curls" (tutorial HERE). I'm sooo unimaganitive when it comes to my hair-any ideas on what I could try? They'd be so appreciated!

What I Wear- "Wow! I finally got an outfit posted!"

I'm wearing: Pink Herbergers Cardigan, Thrifted Maurices Shirt, Thrifted Peasant Style Skirt.
Hello, stranger! I have to apologize for falling off the face of the earth (or so it must seem to you!). Since it's Winters, I've been staying at home because of school. So I guess it's mental, but I haven't been able to put together a decent outfit in quite some time! My outfits lately have consisted of either sweats and a tee shirt, or Sunday outfits-Sunday outfits require rushing out the door with no time for pictures. So am I promising to post an outfit every day for the next week? mskfdndgknd....*scrambling* Oh! Sorry! I had to pick myself up off the floor from laughing so hard. *Chuckles* Yeah, no promises like that in my future. However, I will try to post more often-but not every day.

How was your Christmas? Mine was a bit unusual. Since Christmas was on a Sunday, we opened gifts  Christmas Eve. Uneventful, very little drama and lots of fun! It's been a tradition in our family to go to a movie on Christmas day (or around Christmas depending on when the movie comes out). This year we went to Tintin. It was fairly good, although the computer animation was amazing! There was several instances where I found myself thinking they were real people!

Since New Years Eve is today (Saturday) we celebrated last night, instead of staying up late the night before church. Celebrating translates into: junk food-coming-out-our-ears-till-we-sit-around-on-the-couches-feeling-disgusting. Seriously? Why do I DO THAT! Anyway, we had a nutritious brunch today-whole wheat pancakes sweetened with honey (made by yours truly), fruit salad (patience made), breakfast potatoes and turkey with mushrooms (mom made). We're trying to eat healthier in small bursts-adding more fruits and vegetables to begin with. So this pretty much sums up what you've missed! : )

How was your Christmas?

What I Wear- 40's Maurices Dress

So I'm super excited! The Nancy Drew Fashion Week starts day after tomorrow! Are you ready? I'm not! I realized I planned on making a dress, and never got around to it. Now that's sad! My own fashion show, not ready for it! Plane b? Thrift stores here I come! Remember, you can enter here or on Ashley's Blog. I encourage you to head over to her blog and become a follower. She has an awesome blog, and you can keep up with the entries at her blog as well!
So what do you think of me getting all fancy on you? Yep, blurred background! Simply any blogger who's anyone is blurring the backgrounds...or something like that. Of course, real fashion bloggers probably can figure out how to set the camera to do that, I cheated and used Gimp.
Welcome to all of my new (and old) followers! I now have 160 people interested in modest fashion! That rocks! And since your supposed to write like every person reading your blog is a new follower, I'll give you a more personal update on me! I'm totally and insanely obsessed with music, and I'm currently teaching myself to play piano! The piano is such an amazing instrument (even if mine is out of tune)! I'm working on playing Ode To Joy by Bethoveen. I'm having a hard time reading the music, as every other insturment I've ever played (bass and acoustic guitar) has chords (such A-G and Am-Gm and a bunch of other boring stuff I won't mention) But I am making some progress reading the music. Patience and perserverance right?

What I Wear- Mish-mash Totally Unlogical Outfit!

Have you ever just thrown something on? Not cared if it matched? Didn't care what looks people gave you? Yes, that's what I did today! The tights with lace tights is just a spur of the moment, I can't find tights that match this outfit! But now its growing on me, and I'm thinking colored tights (blue perhaps), would look super cute under the lace! After I bought these lace tights last year, I realized it was a bad idea! I'm mean, come on girl! Ya live in Montana for pity's sake! Lace tights?! Really? So this is a good idea for me. Adding the tights, I was able to wear the lace tights without freezing my legs off!

What I Wear- Kosher Casual Skirt!

I'm very honored to be reviewing Kosher Casual's fold over waist skirt! I'm not doing a sell job on you here, it really is quite comfortable! I can honestly say it will become a favorite skirt for me! With a flattering cut, comfy fabric (a combination of like excercise pants and slinky fabric), how can you go wrong? I love the length (just a few inches below the knee) and of course the color-I'm a sucker for black! In addition to the lovely skirt I received another surprise-the packege came from Israel! The labels were in another language! So cool for me, as it was like getting a little piece of culture from across the world. The funny things is, by the dates on the packege, it took less time to get from Israel to Montana, than it does to ship from Montana to Florida! Yep...pretty sad!

Hey everyone! Well, once again I'm in love with my skirt! I bought this knee length skirt for $2.50 yesterday! I couldn't pass it up! Well I cooooouuullldd have...but you know!? I decided that this skirt was a good buy, I buy way too many patterned skirts; and never wear them! Anyone in the market for patterned skirts?!

I took pictures with this outfit, and decided I didn't like them. I then went into the house and put on this belt and changed my hair...I like the results much better! The belt gives it a more "Christy" feel.
