My Latest Project-40's Dress!

 As the dedicated readers will know, I'm constantly bopping from one project to the next. I'm currently sewing this dress! I haven't had a chance to work on it in a few weeks, but I hope to soon. What do you think of it? Anything I should change before I sew it up? Seamstress crituqes welcome!

Feminine Fashion Week Day-4 "Spring In The Winter"

Hey everyone! Today is day 4 of Feminine Fashion Week (affectionately shortened to FFW by the lazy person running this blog). I'm feeling much, much better today and hope to be able to go outside and take pictures very soon. After the wonderful response I got to doing 'best of FFW' I will most definitely be doing it! I haven't decided how often I'll be doing the best of though...perhaps a page designated for the 'best of FFW'?

For whatever reason this skirt reminds me of a little girls skirt...weird! As I love it!

 My look today actually popped out at me from my closet, an action that doesn't happen often for me! I glanced at my closet, and immediately the skirt and shirt 'clicked'!

In addition to hosting FFW, Blogging, school, life and breathing, I'm also working on a skirt!

You know me, the more projects I work on the better! Its not finished, and I will probably lop a foot or so off the hemline, but here is the unfinished project:

My "Maid Marian" inspired dress!

Hi Everyone! So, the bell tolls, and Maid Marian's Dress is revealed. I'd like to tell you about my dress.I made it with a pattern, started cutting the pieces out, and realized the instructions were non-exsistant! Thats right, I did this ENTIRE dress without instructions! LOL! I'm  really blessed it came out this well! I used fabric thats been lying around the house being useless. I guess I'll start with the hood. I had no pattern for the hood so I took one of my hoodies and cut around the hood, stiched the fabric up and... voila'! I cut strips of fabric and warpped them around my arms (with moms help!  : )P   The belt is something I wear all the time with my "modern" clothes.  The dress pattern orginally didn't tell what to do with the skirt, so I slit the dress so the light colored skirt would show through. There is also a lovely train in back. After making this dress, and seeing how perfectly it fits me, I think I'm going to modernize it and make a summer dress from the pattern. I'll probably have to shorten the length (it took ten yards of fabric!) YIKES! That can get expensive! Luckily I had this fabric!
