Acne Treatment: The Natural Way (Or Nearly)

4 comments:
Hey everyone, if you struggle with acne then this article is for you.

So heres my advice to you:

  1. Change your pillowcase everyday!
  2. Use lots of Clearsil, Clean and Clear, and Neotrogena products that have TON of chemicals that harm your skin instead of helping it.
  3. Use every product on the market, make sure its reallllllyyyy expensive and time intensive.

Ha! Ha! No, thats not my advice! This is what I personally have heard.
Now for busting these suggestions to pieces:
  1. Who on Earth has the time to change their pillowcase every single stinken day! Thats crazy and unrealistic! At most, I would get mine washed once a week, maybe! That may work but its not a great idea!: )
  2. I have read that products "For acne treatment" can actually cause more acne! Which if you think about it, makes sense. Why would they give you a product that would get rid of it and then have you not buy their product anymore!
  3. You don't have to pay millions of dollars to help with your acne! And you shouldn't!
Now, I won't leave you desititute and wondering what to do! I'm going to tell you about three things that have helped me personally I'm not working for any skin company, and I gain nothing by telling you this! I have three things that may help you with your acne. I don't have the kind of acne that will follow me into adulthood, so I have no idea if it will help others. But if you have pimples due to stress, hormones, or food this may help you out as it did me!

  1. Tea Tree Oil
  2. Tooth paste
  3. Dove Soap Bar

The first is something that I heard about through another girl from another website! She didn't have a link to her blog, so I have never been able to thank her! But I'm very grateful to her!
How to apply Tea Tree Oil:
You can either apply a dilluted Tea Tree oil with water EXAMPLE OF TEA TREE OIL HERE The link is the kind I personally buy. It will sting if you apply it directly! So either mix it with water, or put some in your hands and pour Tea Tree oil, and spread around your face. Cold water works best to rinse with, and will help you feel fresh!
The other way (easier, but more expensive) is the Tea Tree oil cleansing pads TEA TREE OIL CLEANSING PADS Which are very easy to use, and you throw the pads out when your done with them.
You can also apply Tea Tree oil directly to the pimple with a cue tip.

Now for toothpaste. Your probably thinking that I'm crazy right now! I know I'm crazy! But if you apply a thin coat of toothpaste to an inflammed pimple, it will puss, and go away! The pimple is actually half the size by the next day! It works great for pussy pimples.

Who says you have to use Clearsil, or Clean and Clear (insert your acne product) you don't! You can use a Dove soap bar, and get much better results! Plus, it doesn't have yucky ingrediants you can't pronounce!

Please, before you tell me I'm nuts, do these four things:
  1. Don't pick your pimples
  2. Use one of the above items
  3. Wash your face every morning and evening before bed.
  4. And tell me how it went in three weeks!
Please let me know if you try this, and take before and after pictures and share them!
Disclaimer: I only have "teen pimples" which means they will go away after I'm older. I'm not suggesting this for people with adult acne! I know this won't work if you have Adult acne, so this isn't for you! I have no idea what you go through, and don't pretend to be an expert. This is only whats worked for me.

No comments:
Hey everybody! My siblings and I had a blast Saturday sledding down our hill! So I thought instead of doing an actual "What I Wear" post, I'd do something a bit more personal! Yeah, this is about as personal as its gonna get! LOL! : ) I also took some videos! I'm gonna TRY to get them uploaded! Isn't that sky beautiful?! I LOVE IT! Montana truely earns its name "big sky country" I'm in love with clouds! Seriously! I want to learn to paint them, cause I stink at clouds! Hello Everyone! Today is my day to whine about the snow! (Just Joking!) I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of the woods outside our house. Yesterday was around 65 degrees, and when I woke up today , it was raining, which then turned to snow! YUCK! I've resolved this year to enjoy the snow and think of the positives, instead of the negatives. So...when is it gonna be wet enough snow to go sledding?? Maybe never! Oh well! On the plus side, the snow DOES look pretty! I'm thinking about putting a hoodie on and taking some scenery shots aside from the ones I can take through the window! LOL! My parents went to Utah Saturday, (at 4AM!) Leaving my 25 year old sister and I here at the house. Oh! The wonders of TV! We totally vegged  our eyes out. Have I mentioned I don't like Sci-Fi movies? Well I don't! We watched Planet Of The Apes, and about a half hour/hour or so into the movie I was sick of it. Kinda interesting (in a wierd way) Mom and Dad ended up getting home about 3AM that  night. My sister and I tried to stay up till they got home. (Well I stayed up, she dozed off several times!) It was the longest day of my life! And the next morning, I did something I haven't done in like two years! I slept till noon!!!! Yes! I DID! Usually, Sun. mornings we're at church (We are the pastors family after all!) but we got one of the families in church to do the service for us. I felt so heathenish! LOL! Just joking! It was nice to have the morning off. So, does anyone have any  ideas of what I can post about? Glad to hear any of your ideas!

Introduction

Hi! My name is Natasha Lei Atkerson, and I would like to introduce myself! This is my first blog ever, but I was driven to writing my own through all my readings of others blogs. I'm constantly inspired by other peoples posts, and now I'm doing it! I live in the back woods of Montana, as of right now there is about 6" of snow on the ground. Crafts are a neccesity when you live in the mountains (expecially when the weather is cold, and you have no desire to throw yourself into a pile of snow and call yourself a snowflake! I'm really into historical sewing, I just completed my second dress, which will be posted here in a few weeks for the Amanda Beth Maid Marian wardrobe! So, you'll be seeing that soon! I'm a born again christian, my dad is a pastor, and I'm also homeschooled. Our family consists of- Mom, Dad, Melissa-25, Kendall-21(Away at college) Me-15, Onan-12, and Patience-9. We moved from CO, to MT about 6 years ago, and love our little town!  I hope you enjoy reading my posts, as I learn to be a blogger!

Aside from sewing costumes (not for Halloween: P which I don't celebrate) I'm also crocheting a blanket, which I finished today. My next project  is making a knitted beret/snood type of hat. I'm going to use baby blue yarn, and use a round hat knitter. (More on that later) I'm also into making music, I play the bass guitar, the acoustic guitar, and I'm learning the violin! I like to draw, paint, and sketch. Well, I think thats enough for now!
