Info from Jessica's website:

I'm not sure If I will be able to do this....I'm going to be really busy on those days! But I would love if you could be my aiding support group and go over there and enter!

The 7-Day Challenge is being held August 9-16, and consists of 7 "themed" days in which you are challenged to do something for your health, your church, your online community, your family, and more. Each day, one participant will be selected to win a prize. At the end of the week, one person who participated in at least five days will win the GRAND PRIZE!!!

Here is how the week will play out:

Monday the 9th: Do something for God. Prize: Devo Book
Tuesday the 10th: Do something for your family. Prize: TBA
Wednesday the 11th: Do something for your friends. Prize: One bracelet for you, and another for a friend. (We may give you more if you have several best friends- we'll see!)
Thursday the 12th: Do something for your online network. Prize: Do Something stickers and Thumb Socks.
Friday the 13th: Do something for your health. Prize: A book from Book Week.
Saturday the 14th: Do something for your church. Prize: TBA
Sunday the 15th: Do something for your community... or the WORLD! Prize: TBA

End of Week: Someone who demonstrated excellence in at least five days will receive a fabulous prize package! The contents of this prize have yet to be determined, but it will be worth it! The grand prize winner will also be featured in an interview here on Faith WITH Actions.

How it works: Each day there will be a post on faithwithactions.blogspot.com about the theme, ending with an issue of the daily challenge. There will be a few suggestions on how you can accomplish the daily challenge, but we want you to be as creative as you can be! Once you've done something, come back to the blog and leave a comment about what you did. One winner will be selected each day to receive the daily prize. At the end of the week, judging will begin to decide who wins the grand prize. This will be based 50% on a reader poll and 50% on judge's discretion. The winner of that will receive the grand prize.

Cost: FREE!

Can I Donate a Prize?: YES PLEASE! You can donate a prize by leaving a comment on any of the posts or by e-mailing lightbulbmag@yahoo.com. Every day above that has the letters "TBA" after "Prize:" is still in need of a prize! We are also looking for people to donate to the grand prize. In return for your donation, we are willing to put up an ad of your products/service on fWa AND we will mention you in the contest donors. (Of course, if you DON'T want us to do this, we won't!)

What Can I Do To Get Ready?: In order to be eligible for the challenge, read the following:

1. You must "Follow" Faith WITH Actions. If you do not have an account to "follow" us with, it's easy and free to make one. You can even delete your account after the 7-Day Challenge if you want.

2. If you only want to enter one or two days, that's fine. However, if you want to win the grand prize, you must participate in at least five days!

3. Please announce the 7-Day Challenge on your blog, your Facebook friends, the church bulletin board, etc. In order for this to be a success, we need LOTS of people involved! (To participate AND to donate prizes!)

We hope to see you soon for Faith WITH Action's 7-Day Challenge!

*Sigh* ok, we all knew this was coming...
I CAVED! I'm really sorry! I hadn't realized it was smack dab in the middle of the fashion show...and the end of winter....and I'm done making excuses. Shun me if you must, I'm an addict! Although my Dad does say during several sermons that "an addict will say they can quit, they just don't want to." Thats not true with me..I don't think I can quit anymore! LOL! Just joking! I'll embaress the daylights out of myself next month....plus, its hareditary! : )
Hopefully this won't keep you from reading my blog, I'm ashamed to say the least. In my defense, I only bought four things, and one of them is going to Patience (my little sister)
For those of you who are judging me, all the clothes are under $4! SO HA!
Now I'm going to go take my pitiful self and sit on the couch sobbing with remorse.....

Ok, I almost caved!!!

I have a confession to make! VANITY $1.99 RACK ALMOST BROUGHT ME DOWN!
Seriously, I was having dillusions of clothing talking to me, and flying into my face as I ran away! LOL!
Ok, so it wasn't that bad! But it was a challenge to say the least! Melissa (my sister)had to go into Vanity to look for camisoles! Guess what the first thing I caught in the corner of my eye?! The $1.99 rack! Yep, I didn't even go over! I may regret it later, but it doesn't matter!

So, only one of my readers is brave enough to take this challenge! Pathetic! I laugh in your face! HA!HA!
I guess I'll forgive you, someday....my own sister won't even take the challenge! And yes, I'm insane.

In addition to taking me into Vanity, Melissa also tortured me with:
Quality Supply($4 shirts!)
Maurices(Having there redline sale!)
JcPenney(also having a MAJOR sale!)
Pretty cruel if you ask me! By the way, I'll be caving the stores start GIVING away the clothes! LOL! : )
Anyways, for those of you people who CAN'T possibly take my challenge.......

Good day, and I wash my hands of you! : )

I haven't bought any piece of clothing for: 5 days ("they" say it takes 20 days to break a habit, so only 15 more to go!)

CHALLENGE!

One of my readers asked:
"Hi Natasha! I voted in your poll; I want to see more outfits! Also, I have a question. Do you raise your own money for your clothes, or do your parents buy them? Just wondering; I'm trying to buy my own clothes now, but money isn't that plentiful! :) Also, how often do you go shopping? Do you set limits for yourself like some people? i.e you don't spend more than a certain amount on an item or something?"

This comment got me thinking, could I and my readers take a tough (for some people) challenge?
I believe I can, can you? I've been telling myself that the clothes thing has to stop, even if the clothing only costs $2, it doesn't matter! I don't NEED anymore clothes! So I figure, why not stop today?
Heres the challenge:
I challenge you not to buy any article of clothing for ONE MONTH! This does not include essential items (Socks, or underapparel) But Anything else counts as CONTRABAND! Will you take this challenge with me? I have an "accountabilty partner" (my Mom) so if I cheat, Mom will be on here posting a tattle- tale : )

Take the challenge offered here by putting this button on your blog, with a link to this post. (And if you do take the challenge, let me know!) START TODAY! I'll even post an "I haven't bought clothing for a month" button if you want! : )

WILL YOU TAKE THE CHALLENGE?
