What I Wear-Halftee Basic White Review

1 comment:

Halftee contacted me and asked to have their product reviewed! I'm so excited to be able to review the basic white halftee. They're a great idea! At first I was skeptical about how well the shirt would stay put, but I've been wearing it for awhile now and haven't had to pull it down or adjust it at all! The only downside I've found is that it doesn't fit me perfectly. It fits well, but not quite right (the waist band isn't very snug) but I'm oddly shaped so that could be all it is. I'm pretty sure this Halftee will have a place of honor in my closet! It will be especially perfect this summer, the less fabric the better! I'm not entirely happy with this outfit, I'll probably try again this week to get a better photo to submit to the website. The Halftees are very reasonably priced at $16! Not bad for online modest clothing-it can get pretty expensive shopping online. I'm already contemplating buying the long sleeve Halftee to transition my wardrobe into Summer! I highly recommend the Halftees, please do me a favor and head over to their site and check it out!

Verse Watches Product Review-Pure Watch

1 comment:
The Verse Watches company contacted me and asked me to do a review of their company. I picked the Pure watch. I was especially happy to find out that the watch has a Bible verse on the back! All of the watches are engraved with the same Bible verse and have your choice of black, white and grey. The watch appears to be good quality, it's made out of some sort of rubber, which makes it comfortable to wear. The only drawback is that it doesn't have an marks for the hours, but even that is not a huge deal. Overall I like the feel and look of it. The contact I had with the company was kind, corteous and prompt. I was also impressed to receive the watch within 2 days of being told it was shipped!

I find it funny that the style has changed so much in watches! We went from always wearing watches 10+ years ago, to a couple of years ago watches were practically non-exsistant. And now? Their back, and bigger too! Watches are now a statement piece, why not check out one from a Christian company? SHOP HERE

Pose per mom's instructions! : )

I'm Wearing: Thrifted Roxy hoodie, Black Skirt (c/o Kosher Casual), Pink thrifted Aeropstale shirt, black Go Jane boots.

First of all, I apologize for not getting my outfit posted yesterday! I did wear a decent outfit, it just slipped my mind to get photos of it till I was in Pjs! : ) Second, if you haven't received a comment from me on your outfit, it's not because I don't like it! I guess from the Blogger blog they're having some "issues" with blogs that have comments embedded in the post, instead of the pop up window. I go to leave a comment and the page tells me "I'm not authorized to view this page"! All your outfits are fantastic and show great creativity and shine a bright new positive light on feminine modesty. We've had a great "turn out" the last 4 days (minus Sat. Which I didn't even participate in!)!

What I'd like to know while the experience is still fresh in your mind is this: What would you change or keep about this fashion event? Are the event "themes" a good idea or would you rather an unstructured event? Would you have a 7 day event next time or shorter?

What I Wear- Capurro Customs Shirt!

6 comments:
Erin was nice enough to send me this fun shirt from her Etsy shop! It has tiny green beads on the shoulders. And surprisingly, fits me perfectly! I say surprising, because normally it's pretty hard to find shirts that aren't skin tight in the wrong places. The shirt is also reasonably priced-($9!) I'd appreciate if all of you would check out her shop-and perhaps buy something if you see something you like! This shirt also comes in pink and orange! I enjoyed working with Erin, she seemed very nice.

I'm also reviewing a flower headband from Erin's shop (later this week) so stay tuned!

I picked up this orange skirt in Spokane WA, and I'm loving it! Orange is actually a really versatile color!

Some of you may be wondering why I'm hiding my face in most of the photos: Rudolph Nose. Yes, allergies! I'm feeling much better today, but I took the photos yesterday when I wasn't feeling very good. I had to chop my bangs again yesterday, they're growing super fast! I just trimmed them last week! But if they grow even a tad, they're in my eyes and I "look up to people" when I talk to them! *GRIN*

I'm wearing: Dangle Earrings from Deb ($4) Handmade necklace ($?) Gray beaded Shirt (From Erin) Black belt from Vanity ($9) Orange Skirt Old Navy ($9) Green Military Flats Payless ($10?)

QUESTION: Rate This Outfit! 1-5 5 being amazing 1 being bad

What I Wear- Petal In Pearl Boutique Product Review

3 comments:

This is my personal review of the Petal In Pearl Boutique. They have everything from custom handmade baby flower headbands, adult flower headbands, removable hair clips, hand knit hats, tutus, custom flip flops and more! It's deffintley an Etsy shop you should check out! The lovely ladies say "We are two busy Mamas with a passion for creating beautiful handmade accessories to bring joy to you and your loved ones." You can follow their blog HERE.
Or buy one of these flower clips HERE.

They were gracious enough to give me this beautiful flower clip to review! It came wrapped in this lovely paper:

Almost as though your getting a Christmas present in May!

The flower is well made, and honestly I couldn't even tell that it was handmade! (A compliment) It has a beautiful bead gem in the middle. It also has a small piece of veil fabric that gives it an extra touch of beauty.

I came up with a few ideas to use the flower for:
Attached to a necklace (the company suggests a chocker).

As a shoe attatchment!

Here is a picture of the back so you can see how it attaches.
It would also work great in a scarf, in your hair, on your purse or anywhere else!
Be sure to stop by the shop and look at all the lovely items available!

What do you think of the flower? Will you be visiting their shop?
