Pose per mom's instructions! : )

I'm Wearing: Thrifted Roxy hoodie, Black Skirt (c/o Kosher Casual), Pink thrifted Aeropstale shirt, black Go Jane boots.

First of all, I apologize for not getting my outfit posted yesterday! I did wear a decent outfit, it just slipped my mind to get photos of it till I was in Pjs! : ) Second, if you haven't received a comment from me on your outfit, it's not because I don't like it! I guess from the Blogger blog they're having some "issues" with blogs that have comments embedded in the post, instead of the pop up window. I go to leave a comment and the page tells me "I'm not authorized to view this page"! All your outfits are fantastic and show great creativity and shine a bright new positive light on feminine modesty. We've had a great "turn out" the last 4 days (minus Sat. Which I didn't even participate in!)!

What I'd like to know while the experience is still fresh in your mind is this: What would you change or keep about this fashion event? Are the event "themes" a good idea or would you rather an unstructured event? Would you have a 7 day event next time or shorter?

What I Wear- Fur Vest Fashion

4 comments:
I'm embracing the colder weather today and wearing my fur vest. I picked it up this Winter, and never wore it. It tends to make me look bulky, but I threw caution to the wind and decided to wear it anyway. I add the pink eternity scarf for a splash of color in an otherwise boring outfit. Am I the only one who changes a minimum of two times per day in the morning? Something you thought looked right, didn't look so good on, it was too cold/hot to wear what you'd planned on? That's me! I do better if I take the time to pick outfits out the night before, but I rarely remember to.
I need to get more creative with my hair *sigh* for today you get boring old combed out hair. Bummer! Any suggestions for hair that don't involve cutting it? I'd love to hear them! (include pictures if you can!) See? I'm so boring I didn't even do anything to my bangs this morning!
I'm wearing: A Warm Fur Vest Thrifted ($7) Plain White Shirt Wal Mart ($7) Black Maxi Dress As A Skirt Quality Supply ($4) Pink Eternity Scarf Wal Mart ($5) Low Heeled Mary Jane Shoes 6PM ($30)
QUESTION: WHAT DO YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR WHEN IT GETS 'BORING'?

What I Wear- Maxi With Stripes And Trends

Good news? It's not snowing! Bad news? It's chilly outside. So bear with me as I continue to wear long sleeves.
I'm hoping to go to Spokane WA sometime in May (if we can convince my dad to go). I'm pulling the 'it's my birthday month' card. Spokane is like seriously mall heaven! I'm most looking forward to Forever 21, anyone else shop their? I'm mostly attracted to the cheap prices on trendy stuff. $2-$5 for a necklace is like a Claires sale-almost! I believe in dressing frugally, while still keeping up with some of the trends. However, there is a line to draw (such as this years latest trend of 'under apparel' as clothing).

I'm wearing a cozy Striped Sweater from JcPenneys ($8) Long Maxi Dress From Quality Supply ($4) Borrowed blue scarf Cold Water Creek
To let everyone know, I've updated my art blog if you'd like to see more of my artwork.
I've also been wondering if anyone would be interested in my drawing their portraits? If so, email me the photo-or leave a link to the picture. The picture needs to be clear, and average to large size (the smaller the harder it is for me to scale it up) I'll draw it, post it on my blog for you to see! I ask, because I'd love to draw some one's portrait that I actually can give to them, versus drawing pictures from strange people on Google images! *GRIN*

What I Wear- As 80's Style As I'm Getting!

Hello all! I want to say something very important and crucial to your well being: this is as close to the 80's fashion as I'm ever getting! I couldn't pass this shirt up yesterday at the thrift store, it was too cute! My mom thought it was weird, which translates into 'unique' in my mind. The pattern mixing on the yoke/collar part is what I love about it! Plus the colors grabbed me.
I'm happy to say that I picked up a few skirts and shirts at the thrift shop! I'm super excited about this one skirt-you'll see it at some point! It is the most Spring-y (no, I don't think it's a word) skirt I've ever seen!

80's Style Shirt Thrifted ($2) Black Skirt With Buttons Thrifted ($3.99) Black Boots Payless (borrowed from mom) Bangle Bracelet Claires ($1) Necklace Payless ($2)
QUESTION: DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CLOSET THAT RESEMBLES 80'S FASHION?

What I Wear- Kosher Casual Skirt!

I'm very honored to be reviewing Kosher Casual's fold over waist skirt! I'm not doing a sell job on you here, it really is quite comfortable! I can honestly say it will become a favorite skirt for me! With a flattering cut, comfy fabric (a combination of like excercise pants and slinky fabric), how can you go wrong? I love the length (just a few inches below the knee) and of course the color-I'm a sucker for black! In addition to the lovely skirt I received another surprise-the packege came from Israel! The labels were in another language! So cool for me, as it was like getting a little piece of culture from across the world. The funny things is, by the dates on the packege, it took less time to get from Israel to Montana, than it does to ship from Montana to Florida! Yep...pretty sad!
