What I Wear- As 80's Style As I'm Getting!

Hello all! I want to say something very important and crucial to your well being: this is as close to the 80's fashion as I'm ever getting! I couldn't pass this shirt up yesterday at the thrift store, it was too cute! My mom thought it was weird, which translates into 'unique' in my mind. The pattern mixing on the yoke/collar part is what I love about it! Plus the colors grabbed me.

 I'm happy to say that I picked up a few skirts and shirts at the thrift shop! I'm super excited about this one skirt-you'll see it at some point! It is the most Spring-y (no, I don't think it's a word) skirt I've ever seen!

What I Wear- Modest Fashion Events Galore!

I had quite the week! We've had what seems like endless dentist and chiropractor appointments for a few months now. I'm done with the dentist for now (clean bill of teeth! LOL!) Went to a Superchick/Manafest/Me In Motion/Bread Of Stone concert! Which was fun, but in case your wondering Manafest stinks live! Avalanche song on the radio is horrific in concert! He kind of sounded like a ten year old trying to sing it, and a little off tune! But the rest were pretty good! I have a few photos at the bottom of this post of the concert.

AOGG Fashion Week- Day 4! Modern Anne Of Green Gables and Hair tutorial!

Hey all,

I finally got up the courage to do a hair tutorial today! It took me three tries (with the bathroom door closed!) to do this! I know its rough, and I did a few mistakes-but it is my first one! So be patient! I did discover it helps to pull a sister in the bathroom with you to be your audience (instead of talking to the mirror! LOL!) so that was helpful. So you can check that out in my next post!

I've been kicking myself all week for not having something ready for this earlier! But none the less, here it is! I am so excited about this skirt! Its so 40's/20's ! So cute! I was almost freaking out when I found it yesterday! It appears brown in these photos, but its a Khaki color.

The skirt and me story went like this:

flipping through the dozens of skirts, my eyes gaze upon a khaki colored skirt...that's knee length..and has super cute buttons down the front! *screams* I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!

Okay, maybe it didn't go quite that way! But something like that! *smile*

I found a ton of stuff yesterday! It was awesome!

I had two photographers today, so that was interesting!

What I Wear- Thrifty and Chic! Modest fashion show- Day 3

Hey everyone! So we (my mom, sister and I) really worked hard today trying to get some "fashion shoot" photos, worthy for your eyes to see! I think some of them came out really good! Or at least better than normal! I want to make it a goal to take better photos. Lately I've been hating my pictures, I don't know if its because of my clothes that day, or what, but no more! I did find out that I need to just relax and have fun! Which helps when you have a crazy sister! She tried to show me up in every photo with her "posing ability's" too funny...

For this fashion post, my lovely sister is joining me! With her amazing ability's in front of the camera, who can ignore her? LOL! We will keep working on our photos, let me know if you have any ideas for posing, or hints and tips. They would be greatly appreciated!

The weather was gorgeous today (its starting to be a bit cloudy right now) But its supposed to be 70's the rest of the week! Which is awesome! I love being outside, and indoor photos are not my specialty!

I really appreciate the response I've been getting about the fashion show, and everything else! Maybe people are listening after all....

What I Wear-Thrifty And Chic! Modest Fashion Show! Day 2

Hey everyone! I'm so very excited that there is actually TWO MODEST fashion shows back to back! I took these Sunday, but I wasn't able to get it on here until today. (Hopefully that's OK!) I've been trying to get my pictures more professional, and I've been using Google to find out  how to pose. So these are a little better-I hope!

Does anyone know how to set a digital camera so that the flash is super fast?

I've so enjoyed seeing all the fashion shows, and looking at every ones outfits! They're so cute and modest! A perfect example of what true modesty should look like. The world tries to say that "modesty" is an old lady with a 100 year old shirt on, but that's not true! And for proof, please look at all the Modest Fashion Shows popping up! Sweet Innocent, gorgeous outfits! Each and every one of them!

Has anyone noticed that layering has come back? It dissipated (at least in the fashion world) and then came back! strappy, low cut shirts are sporting a tank top-or two! I even saw a halter top with a tank top under it! So cool! It will make it tons more easy for those of us who are already layering! What top do you layer with that's unusual? I've been trying to figure out if a tube top would look cute with a tee-shirt with cap sleeves under neath? Thoughts on this?

My sister was nice enough to buy this purse for me (just for) and I love it! Its so cute! It has millions of little sequins all over it, and it sparkles! *oooooo I love sparkles...LOL!*
