What I Wear-White Skirt And Friday!

I came out in my necklace and my younger sister asked if my necklace "had one owl, or two owls with hats on?" : ) 

So I'm probably confusing all you by my scattered and sporadic choice of seasonal clothing, but literally that's how I've been dressing! I go outside to check the weather before I get dressed now! Long sleeves one day, short sleeves and shorts the next! Today it's supposed to get up to 80 deg.! Highly unusual for this time of year in Montana. Honestly, I'd welcome some snow right now! It's very smoky outside (from a fire in Idaho) and I'm waking up with a soar throat feeling cruddy all day. Thing is, I have seasonal allergies as it is, and the smoke just makes them worse!

 

Enough of the whining! It's Friday! Yahoo! What does Friday bring for you? Mine brings the start of a weekend, movie night, staying up late, Air 1's Club Awesome (hosted by Brant Hansen) and homemade pizza! In case you aren't familiar with "Club Awesome" I'll share a bit! They have a half hour or so every late Friday afternoon of Christian dance type music, which includes (but is not limited to!) re-mixing songs and adding crazy stuff (like hamster noises) to the song! It's basically a virtual dance club with everything you can imagine (a few weeks ago everyone went home with a free baby moose!-The Montana in me used logic and said that was probably not a good idea since Mama moose get very aggressive if separated from their babies! LOL! But since it's fictional...they are pretty cute!) So we turn the radio up, crank up the bass and "hang".

Yeah! *Five different nachos!* (if you haven't listened to the show you're now thinking I'm crazy and should probably just close this window instead of telling me so....LOL! Naw, just joking! I know I'm crazy and I'm proud of it!

What I Wear-Mom's Scarf

The best thing about having a mom and sister(s)? Being able to borrow clothes! Mom insisted I share the fact that the scarf was stolen from her with...the...tags..still on...yep. In my defense the scarf has been hanging on the wall untouched for several months! Who wouldn't listen to scarf pleading for styling?!

So I realized sometime yesterday that I've missed like 3 Feminine Fridays! I'm so sorry! But rest assured, the Feminine Friday post is scheduled and ready to post at 7 AM! What I Wear- Turquoise And Laziness

There's nothing more repulsive to me than a lazy person! And unfortunately, I have tendencies towards laziness. It's a constant battle between laziness and working. I was just talking with a friends yesterday about how much I enjoy a clean room. However, right now my room is a pig-sty (It's my goal today to super clean). Why don't I clean it? Laziness! How much time does it take to just put away that shirt, instead of leaving it lying on the floor?!

Laziness can extend to all areas of our lives. If not kept under control, it can control you. It can become a God that you serve. Seriously, that's not an exaggeration. Laziness can keep you from all sorts of things, work, fun, church and people you love. All of which have devastating consequences, physical, emotional and spiritual. When we place something above the others, we're singling it out as more important. So if you decide to work instead of play with your kids, your putting work ahead of family. If you decide to sleep in, instead of going to church, you're putting sleep ahead of God. If you decide to stay home because your "under the weather", instead of going to work, your putting yourself before work. We all have responsibilities we need to carry out. And if we don't decide now what is and is not important-such as whether or not to sit around being lazy, or go to work-laziness will control you. Don't let anything have that control on you! Laziness doesn't deserve respect! It deserves a good kick in the pants out the door.

So instead of sitting her like a lazy Blogger, I'm going to go clean my room!

What I Wear- To Spokane WA

So this weekend my family and I visited Spokane WA. I'd like to confess: I'm not a party animal! By day two, I was already ready to go home! But it was fun, I just enjoy my bed too much I suppose. I was able to spend very little between Christmas money I'd saved, and gift cards I'd collected!

Among the gift cards I had collected, were Forever 21 gift cards! I had $40 worth, but only spent about $25 and some change. So I'll be spending the rest online. Funny thing is, I didn't really enjoy the store. The music was suuuuper loud, and sort of entrancing! I'm not joking! I seriously saw like 4 ladies that looked like zombies-including my sister. I don't know what it is, but I can't think in that store! Apparently no one else can either! I had a couple ladies bump into me and have that 'zombie' look in their eyes and excused themselves. Weird...But that would be why the online store is a little better for me to think. No music! Unless of course I crank up the music of my own accord! *GRIN* Which I tend to do on..occasion.

What I Wear- Fishtail Fashions Fascinatingly Fun!

Check out my post title! Yeah, I'm so creative, aren't I?! My mom did my hair in a fishtail braid, I really like it! Although I'd like to learn how to do it myself so I can experiment a little.

I made the unfortunate mistake of going bare legged yesterday and just about froze to death! It was so nice when we left the house, but it snowed! Ahhh!! My wardrobe is suffering Mr. snowman! Please be considerate of my clothing and stop! I never know how to dress when we leave the house anymore, Summer? Winter? Spring? Bring my coat? Wear sandals? I love Montana, and I just have to keep reminding myself of that. I would die in a big city, simply shrivel up and die if I couldn't see the sky. So suffer I will with the snow, so I can see the beauty all around me.

I embraced the whole "late Spring" thing and wore boots today. We got them at Wal Mart yesterday for $15! So cute! My mom, little sister and I all wear the same shoe size, so we divide the price of an item in 3, so really, the boots for me only cost $5 (weird logic is my constant companion).

I can not believe it's Friday!! Yes! Friday, again! You know how in the movies when they show time flying by they film a calender with the pages flying past, that's how my months been! I can't believe I'm going to be 17 in less than two weeks! 17 seemed like an eternity away. Heck, who am I kidding?! Three years till 20! YUCK! When my eldest sister turned 20, I told her 20 was old as dirt...yep...not it's backfiring on me. Three til dirt.....

What I Wear- Cpoy-cat Blogger!

Hey everyone! This outfit was actually worn yesterday, and I'm writing this yesterday...but your reading it today..this is getting confusing! Lets simplify: I have this set to post automatically on March 19th! Much better! March 19th also happens to be my youngest sister's birthday! She'll be 11 today! Happy Birthday Patience!

I finally got around to sort of copy-catting Elaine. While I don't usually reccomend copy-catting other Bloggers, in this case its okay-its jewlery! I bought the flowers awhile ago and hadn't gotten around to making the necklace till a few days ago. basically all I did was yank the plastic pieces out of the flower's middle, cut up a piece of fabric into a necklace shape large enough to hold three flowers. Then I hot glued the flowers to the fabric. After that I glued the flowers on I hot glued some pieces of ribbon on for the fastener and 'voila! A statement necklace!

My family thinks it's weird, that's why I'm wearing it...*GRIN* JK! It's like wearing a bit of Spring around your neck! And it's just a tad bit too large, but I'm not really sure how to trim it down at this point...so I guess we'll dub this flower necklace attempt #1!

What I Wear- Floral And White

Here's a change, sepia photo! In the fashion world, this is called "cheating". I forgot to use my "Kiss My Face" wash and lotion this morning, the sunlight against the snow made my eyes water and squint, and my face was all red and looked like someone had beat me up. It's not really called touching it up if you just change the color, is it? Hopefully not...cause I'm doing it anyway! Here is a color photo of my outfit. I promise I'll try to get better pictures next outfit.

I know there's snow on the ground, and I'm wearing short sleeves...but it was actually really nice outside! Spring-ish in fact! So look out world, Summer's soon! My favorite part of Summer/Spring is the flip flop stage! Gotta love 'em! So comfy and cute!

What I Wear- "How To Convert Summer Clothes Into Fall Clothes"

Hey everyone! Today's outfit "How To Convert Summer Clothes Into Fall Clothes" is just that! After Summer comes Fall, which usually consists of clothing frustrations! All your cute Summer clothes must be put into a box to gather dust till its warm enough. Or do they? I don't think so! Right now I have both Summer and Winter clothing in my closet; thanks to layering! All you need is a long sleeve shirt that fits you well in the arms and upper chest area and you have a layering shirt! The one I'm wearing here is actually a cast off of my little sisters. Its waaaayyyy too tight to wear by itself, but the sleeves fit me perfectly! And because its so tight, there isn't any bunching going on! So I actually recommend wearing a tight shirt (in this case of course!).

What I Wear- Modest Fashion Events Galore!

I had quite the week! We've had what seems like endless dentist and chiropractor appointments for a few months now. I'm done with the dentist for now (clean bill of teeth! LOL!) Went to a Superchick/Manafest/Me In Motion/Bread Of Stone concert! Which was fun, but in case your wondering Manafest stinks live! Avalanche song on the radio is horrific in concert! He kind of sounded like a ten year old trying to sing it, and a little off tune! But the rest were pretty good! I have a few photos at the bottom of this post of the concert.

What I Wear-Flower Blues

Hey everyone! Well I had two photographers today! Hopefully they look better! I think the color is much better today. Unfortunately, they still had me as the subject! ; ) I'm working on posing and backgrounds and all that.

The shoes I wore today are a Payless find. They were having their BOGO sale, and I got these shoes for $6.75! A steal! I teased my mom that I payed retail for them ($22.99) she didn't go for it.... : ) Oh well!

I fell in love with these shoes because they're totally 40's/30's yet they don't have a high heel! They're only about an 1" tall! I don't like wearing anything over 1" 1/2 because I don't like to tower over everyone (I'm 5"8) and also, they get really uncomfortable! No gain without pain? I'll stick with my inch heel!

I took your advice, the background is changed to white, I took the photos in as good a light as I could get (its pretty cloudy today) And I took close up photos of my shoes and necklace!
