What I Wear-Mom's Scarf

No comments:
The best thing about having a mom and sister(s)? Being able to borrow clothes! Mom insisted I share the fact that the scarf was stolen from her with...the...tags..still on...yep. In my defense the scarf has been hanging on the wall untouched for several months! Who wouldn't listen to scarf pleading for styling?!
So I realized sometime yesterday that I've missed like 3 Feminine Fridays! I'm so sorry! But rest assured, the Feminine Friday post is scheduled and ready to post at 7 AM! On side note, the new Blogger ROCKS!You can actually have enough space to type and see photos! Try it out and let me know what you think!
I'm Wearing: Purple Vanity Shirt ($5) Scarf borrowed. White Thrifted Skirt ($3) Black Thrifted Shrug ($3)
QUESTION: Will you be participating in this weeks Feminine Friday? Why or why not?

What I Wear- Casual Tuesday & Freedom

1 comment:
Today I feel grateful. Grateful that I can even write this blog post. Grateful that I can talk about God on my blog, and not be put into prison for it. Blessed to live in America! No, America isn't perfect. In fact we have some serious issues. But we have the freedom to have those issues! We have the freedom to tell people what we're thinking. No one can tell me not to dress in these clothes, and nobody can tell you to stop reading my blog! Not every country has these freedoms, these blessings.

I think with all the economic stuff going on, we've forgotten what a wonderful country we live in. We may not be happy when congress or the president does something that goes against what we wanted, but we have the freedom to step out and say "Hey! I don't like that!" But with that freedom, comes abuse and un-gratefulness. We forget all the men and women who have died so that we could have that freedom. Did they die in vain? No! They died so that I could talk about God. If those men hadn't fought in WWII, Germany could have taken over the world. If men hadn't died freeing us from the King of England, we wouldn't have the freedom to go or not go to whatever church we choose.
I know beyond a shadow of doubt that God was in all of that. And He's in America now. It may take some time to wake everyone up, but it's going to happen. God's not done with us. Will America be around for billions more years? I have no idea. What I do know is that God will never leave His people, regardless of how many times we've slapped Him in the face. He's still holding out His hand of mercy.
End of speech. : )

I'm wearing: Pink cardigan Herbegers (original price $58! My price-$8!) Purple Thrifted dress $3.99 Jeggings Kmart $3

PS: Feminine Friday-is this Friday! Be sure to link up!
QUESTION:
What freedom are you most thankful for? I'm most thankful for freedom of speech.

What I Wear- Woman Or Lady? + What I Cooked!

I'm going to open myself up and be honest with you girls, I failed! I let myself and God down. My mom and I had a blow up Sunday (I had a meltdown) about my shirt yesterday. I knew in my heart of hearts that it was too tight and not modest. I guess maybe I didn't care? I really have no answer! Have you ever put something on and thought "this isn't modest, I shouldn't be wearing it." but walked out in it just the same? That's what I did. Only thankfully I have a mother who's honest with me and holds my clothing to God's standards. I did change into something that wasn't tight. Looking at my closet, I ended up tossing about 5 or 6 things that were really cute, but not modest. Some of them I hadn't worn yet, or had worn and felt weren't appropriate. The point of this? I have modesty issues too! I was compromising. I can't give you a reason why I did, I can say that I will try very hard not to do it again. So if you've been reading my blog for awhile, and put me on a 'modesty pedastal' kindly take me off! Because I'm not perfect! Never have, never will be in this world. I blew it, and I hope I can do better in the future. I intend to go through my entire closet and get rid of anything that's too tight.
That having been said, God blessed me with two very cute dresses today for $3 at Goodwill that fit me perfectly! I can't wait to share them with you.
The snow has finally melted and the Sunshines out! It got to like 60-65 deg. today! I wore flip flops and no tights and didn't freeze! We had lunch outside on our porch and I got 20 minutes of glorious sunshine! I'm a bit pink now, but I have been in the house for over 8 months, and rarely have my legs seen the light. I adore the sun!
I'm wearing: Purple Shirt Aeropostale (Gift) White Tank Top ?? Blue Jean Skirt Thrifted ($3) White Skirt Thrifted ($3) Flip Flops Old Navy ($1)
I also made lunch Saturday for the family. No, this won't become a food blog-I promise. But I couldn't resist posting photos! Food is so fun to photograph! It was a good meal (I think, no one said anything about it being disgusting or anything like that!) although slightly odd. I cooked the chicken in a cast iron pan and while it cooked, cut up onions, celery and carrots. After the chicken cooked for a bit, I seasoned it with cajun seasoning (I know, Orientals don't use cajun seasoning as far as I know!) But we didn't have enough sweet and sour sauce, and no teriyaki sauce.

"I Find The Cold Invigorating, Like Breathing In Life Itself."
Wow! Its been a long while since I've posted an outfit-the 7th to be exact! I can't give a good excuse why, other than that I've been super busy trying to catch up on school and life in general. The weather has been so nice this past week! Upper 40's to lower 30's, which is pretty warm for this time of year. Unfortunatley, since it warmed up yesterday, and froze tonight we have a sheet of ice for a driveway. No joke, we had some glass pop bottles in our car, and couldn't get up the driveway! So my older sister, younger brother and I, booty scooted down the driveway! While it looked quite dumb, it worked! No one got hurt, and the pop made it to the house safely. I actually suggested the booty scooting because we read about it in a Little House On The Praire book where they couldn't get out to the barn, so they crawled! So thus, a genius idea was born...or something like that. BTW, it was kind of fun....

"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30

Hey everyone, on the suggestion of one of my followers (awhile back) I'm only posting four photos. I'd forgotten that, and looked back through my posts and realized they had way too many photos! I don't recall who pointed this out, but thank you whoever you are! I apologize for the strange mix of clothes lately! Going from 80 deg. weather to 50 deg. weather and back again is really cramping my style! I had on a blue jean jacket this morning, but found it to be too warm for that. But I'm not complaining-really I'm not-it makes me enjoy the nice weather even more now, knowing it will be gone in an instant.
Fall and Winter aren't all bad, in fact I have a product I'm going to introduce in (hopefully) late Nov, early Dec. for you, my dear readers! All I will say is; what if you didn't have to wear a bulky tanktop?

The product is in the process of being made, and I'm going to have some ladies at church try them out before I sell them. But thats enough to wet your curiosity!

What I Wear- Borrowed Away!

6 comments:
Hey everyone! Well today's outfit is actually almost all borrowed! The jeans, hat and sunglasses are mine! I borrowed things from various people, and I think it came out pretty cute! I'm thinking of doing a video tutorial of how I curl my hair (with a special braid!) would any of you be interested in video hair tutorials? Please let me know if you would be!
We popped by the "The National Folk Festival" for a bit, but it poured on us! I had put that spray sun lotion on, and apparently its really, really, really, sticky! My legs were covered with mud when I got back home! YUCK! Not fun! My Grandparents are coming in a few hours, so I can't stay on here long.
But here is

I'll be sure to post pictures (if it comes out well!) Posting a bad hat job, well...we won't discuss what thats like! : ) So, the second purpose of this article (other than the oufit) is to ask all of you faithful readers what you'd like me to write about! If you have a subject that you'd like my opinion on, or outfit tips...whatever! Please let me know in comments! I love reading all your comments, and I'm sooooo excited that 29 people are actually interested in what I have to say! so awesome!
