"Zig Zag Purple" 12 Days Of Modest Fashion Day-8

5 comments:
I'm Wearing: Purple Thrifted Zig-Zag Sweater Dress, Modesty 4 Me Cami, Target Jeggings, Go Jane boots,
Black Ruffle scarf Payless Shoe Source, Black Belt (came with dress).

Today is day eight of the 12 days of modest fashion event! I'm thrilled with the turn out (as many as 14 but only as few as 7!). Fantastic!
I picked this dress up at the thrift store the other day. I really like that it's sweater fabric, yet flattering. Most sweaters don't look very good on me-even though I wear them occasionally. The dress has see-through fabric so I paired it with my Modesty 4 Me cami and jeggings. I'm pleased with this outfit, lately I haven't been very happy with the finished products that come out of my closet. Un-inspired, I suppose.

Why hasn't Natasha been posting?!

Well, the answer is simple: I have a cold! I've been sick for past 11 days-not that I've been counting or anything! Cough, runny nose, weezing, soar side (result of coughing!), headaches...you name I got it! It seems everyone has this stuff right now! Anways, thats why I haven't been posting any outfits. People with red noses, and a cough every two seconds, shouldn't post outfits. I have this thing when I'm sick, all my outfits look horrendous! I hope to post tomorrow or Sunday, if I'm feeling better! Bye! Oh yeah, if your bored and have nothing else to do, go ahead and add me on Chictopia!

What I Wear-Valentines Day Rebel

12 comments:
Happy Valentines Day everyone! Regardless of popular belief, I did not just rub your "singleness" in your nose! Valentines Day doesn't have to be about a guy! In fact, thats not how it started out! St. Valentine was a persecuted Christian, who was killed on Valentines Day. Valentines Day is a day to show people you love them, yes! But that includes family-like I'm doing tonight! You can laugh at me, call me weird, I don't care! I don't have a boyfriend, and I don't want one, nor need one! I'm 16 years old people! Isn't there enough pressure in this world without the added drama of a boyfriend? Don't freak out on me, no I'm not gay, I'm saving myself for my future husband. I see no reason to date at this age, as I don't intend to get married at this age. Dating should be something we take very seriously, with the intent of marriage, not just to have fun.
Valentines Day has been so cheapened! Every single person groans at the mention of Valentines Day. Why? Because people told them to! Society tells singles that if they don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend on Valentines Day, they're losers! So not true! Because I have a "Heavenly Husband". Still think I'm crazy? Check this verse:
"For your Maker is your husband--the LORD Almighty is his name--the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth." Isaiah 54:5

Pretty cool huh?
Today, if you feel lonely and "single" I encourage you to reach out to God, and ask him to fill that hole inside you. You'll never be able to fill that hole with a husband, it wouldn't work. In fact, you would be worse off if you did get married, because you still wouldn't be happy, your husband can't fulfill your every need. So you'd still be unhappy, and married.

Striped Blue Shirt Thrifted Vanity ($3.99) Black Military Style Skirt Thrifted H&M ($3.99) Blue Tights Herbegers ($5) Military Style Green Flats Payless ($8)
So happy Valentines Day, cause you have an awesome guy somewhere out their that will love you to death. You just need to wait, God WILL bring him. At the perfect time, in the perfect place.
Are you waiting patiently?

What I Wear- Feminine Military

Today's outfit sort of "fell" into my lap. I borrowed this skirt from my little sister (who promptly informed me that I must give credit for the skirt to her, on my blog! Sisters...it is kind of cool that we can mix our clothes together, and share them. It helps me, as it stretches my wardrobe times ten!
I'm tired, and I have very little to say tonight, so you must content yourself with this little bit I've written, and what I wear section.

Army Green Military Style Vanity ($12) 'Crystal' necklace Payless ($3) Floral Skirt Borrowed ($3) Boots Emu (gift)
And in case anyone's wondering, I'm copying Elaine with the list of my clothes. It looks so much nicer than I was doing it before!

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; ..."
1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Currently 43 deg. and loving it! I almost melted when I felt the sunshine hit my back! Sunshine, isn't it a lovely thing?! Okay, enough of my  phsyco-path rambling! I just finished making this scarf, and I must say I'm loving it! My current obsession is crocheting! Since I have dial up (I know, I know, come out of the dark ages right?!) I found out that when I have an especially time consuming page to load, I get my crocheting out! I'm working on a chunky pink beanie as of right now.
Anyone who truely knows me, knows that I like to have a bazillion and one projects going at once. These may include-but are not limited to-blogging, reading, writing, crocheting, knitting, beading, macrame', sewing, fashion, art, drawing, sketching painting...and I'll end the list here as I know you probably don't really want to know everything I like to do!

Baiscally the idea is to leave a comment on each and every blog post for the month of Febuary! An interesting idea I must say! I plan on trying to do it. I say trying because I don't know if I'll have time. But I do think its a good idea! Check out her blog for more info. (link below)

What I Wear- Word On The Street About eShakti

11 comments:
I was contacted by eShakti and asked to review a product! I chose this vintage inspired dress, which I must say I'm very happy with! Shipping from India, you would think it would take a long time, nope! They shipped it on the 20th of January, and I received it today (the 24th!) So I was very happy with the shipping time!
In case your wondering, Shakti means power in Sanskrit. eShakti therefore means the power of the Net.
Power indeed! You can customize almost everything including: sleeve, neckline and length! They come in sizes
0-26W, and recently extended the sizes up to 6X for some of the items!
The most appealing to me being the length and and neckline. It can be so hard sometimes to find clothing that is modest, and this way you can choose!

You can get custom sizing/custom tailoring for only $7.50! It was really easy to submit all the information, and I was pleased overall with my experience.

The only complaint I had, was that they had way too many cute dresses to pick from! LOL! : ) But thats not really a negative thing! ; )

I'm very happy with the length- about two inches below the knee. While I don't usually wear orange, this dress kept calling to me! With faint butterflies and phonographs, how can you go wrong?! On the left side of the skirt is also an embroidered accent of a phonograph and a butterfly in black. I think the pieces that makes it so vintage is the phonograph/butterfly and the cute collar. I picked the short sleeves, as I figured that way I can wear the dress in the Summer, and pair it with a jacket in Winter! All in all, a great experience! I encourage you to check out their items. If your new to eShakti, you can take $20 off your first order! Plus you get FREE shipping on orders of $100+!

And if your a copycat (and who isn't!) you can buy my dress HERE!
